Still nothing on C4F1 Twitter but my Youview TV guide app now has 1.30 to 3.30 tomorrow as 4 episodes of The Simpsons, then F1 is on Sunday afternoon from 2.20 to 4.55.

This morning it was showing the regular Saturday quali show.

To pass the time on Saturday, Grosjean has bought a model kit Tyrrell P34 to build smilehttps://twitter.com/wbuxtonofficial/status/1182561...
I wouldn't be surprised if his long suffering mechanics bought it for him so that once he's finished, they can smash it into a wall and he can get a feel for what their weekend's normally like as he's forced to rebuild it again before being allowed to go to bed hehe

If he does it will be Ericsson's fault...

Yep, it's the juggling after a bottle of red that gets me every time! And frankly if I've cracked the first beer at 6am and had very little sleep, no chance..

As a shortcut this Sunday I'm actually thinking cote de boeuf, just a quick flash in the frying pan and stick it in the oven for a short while. Then shovel chips (shout out to M&S triple cooked oven ships) and onion rings etc in the oven as it rests. Lazy but still the food of gods wink

I've made myself hungry typing this.
Bugger you have made me hungry too.

You can make bernaise sauce while it rests as well. Quite simple and delicious (10 mins). You can almost hear your arteries hardening.
No no no... Peppercorn sauce with a dash of brandy. The trick is to drink the brandy you already have ahead of announcing you will make the sauce. Thus providing a legitimate reason to buy another bottle of brandy.

Thanks to you two I had to go out at lunch and by steaks to have for dinner, I hope you're both proud of yourselves! hehe

You're welcome! There isn't much else to discuss here for the next 36 hours other than dinner and what the weather is doing in Japan - might as well make sure we're all suitably fed and watered.

Bloody hell. I’m at Paddington station with a packet of crisps. I hate the F1 threads sometimes smile

Ha ha

The other alternative is a trio of sauces... green peppercorn, bernaise and blue cheese (separate bowls). More hassle though. Nice french bread to soak up all the juices.

Home made bernaise is nice the next day on toast or as the butter in a roast beef and mustard sandwich.

Salsa verde is nice with a fatty steak as it cuts through the fattiness.

Any good UK sources that deliver? I've been eyeing up some Wagyu online.

Well, this all seems to be about food now...

I'm popping into M&S after work, any recommendations?

hehe

The lasagne is good. Get the garlic bread too! Also a bottle (or two..) of their own Chianti to make certain it all goes down nicely.

What is the weather looking like for the race? Presumably very windy still, but rain also? I did look at the usual online forecasters, but since they're stating 22mph winds and moderate rain for tomorrow I think they haven't enabled typhoon mode on their prediction models.
