Airborne and straight on at the top of the Corkscrew I'm guessing you are unaware of this but this actually happened and resulted in the death of Gonzalo Rodriguez whilst qualifying his Penske for a CART/Champcar race in 1999.
A clip of the crash is viewable on YT. There's also documentary of him called Gonchi. He was a rated driver during that time and raced against the likes of Montoya and Christian Horner.

My only viewing of Laguna Seca has been the MotoGP and Superbike races there where even the bikes go light on the front end at the top.
