Ferrari, Seb should win under the existing data, (although with the change in track conditions Merc 1/2).
If Seb doesn’t get past off the start, and barring Honda reliability problems, Max will do it. He’s got track position, front running race pace and a great strategy team behind him.

Just turned over to this randomly - Autosport website says race start is at 18:10 our time, but I'm guessing it's 17:10?

Watching now and they're all getting ready for the off. Brundle on his pit walk... 17:10 had better be correct!

Decent grid walk from Martin today, the grid didn't seem to be full of vacuous Z listers with no F1 knowledge which makes a refreshing change.

Seb? The existing data shows Ferrari having a 4 tenth delta from Mercedes race pace. Why do you think Ferrari would have ever had much of a chance?

As for Max, tend to agree. I would LOVE to see him really focus, succeed and then get the win as a reward. I think he's seen how being reckless can pull his points down but he needs more of the winning feeling too. I think all drivers need to get a little used to winning to have the confidence to let certain battles go, and appreciate the rewards that come from cool headed drive. In other words, a win here, and probably third in the championship to bolster it, could help him evolve a little further.
Seb should be racing max, although anything could happen.

Max really has to get this done... otherwise...

Bernie is either deaf and couldn't hear the question clearly or he's lost his marbles.

If not the drivers getting into their cars right now are going to be seriously p***ed off sitting on the grid for an hour....

Bernie knows the show needs multiple poles/winners/podiums.

Can’t say that on air..

You've lost me this time. How do you translate Ferrari's race pace in to Seb racing max for the win as opposed to a Merc 1-2? Merc showed pace ahead of either other team, and more so likely now the track has warmed up to more normal levels.

It's all bks anyway, something weird will mess up what is 'supposed' to happen here. But by rights, on paper, Merc 1-2 smile

Both + drunk?

I won't mock him though. If I end up my days rich, tipsy and bumbling around the pits just ahead of each GP I'll count myself lucky.

Ok, Seb should be racing Max on Friday and Saturday pace, we have now got 50c track temps, highest PSi on the tyres (this whole season). Loads of graining.. now, not on Friday/Saturday conditions.

However as above with the temps Merc should push through, Red Bull and Max need to capitalise on pole (they won’t)..(and it needs to happen for Max)..
