Errr.....'s'OK, I suppose.
A bit less clear to keep track of out laps (with pointless purple segments cropping up left right and centre), but once you know where a driver is it's quite good.
Can't help feeling it's a bit too much info, too frequently though.
What's really annoying though is that the in-lap starts wiping out the segments with yellows, before the later drivers have finished their laps, so it's difficult to compare them over a series of the "same" run.

Max to end up on pole with a 1:07.3xx I reckon.
For reference, P1 last year was 1:07.281 for Lewis..

Very few green or purple segments on those second runs.

Turns out the 2019 cars are two tenths slower than the 2018 cars here. Not a bad starting order for tomorrow though.

Well done to Max, he ran the same lap twice, same time, faster than the rest. Pretty solid.

I'm lost, they're all so tight but also all behind their 2018 times. Generally this year, they have beaten the 2018 times.

Maybe wrong day, wrong track?
Or the fact that yesterday was wet and allowed for no rubber build up?

There's been plenty of track action since then. 2 tenths after another years evolution of the cars seems a lot to put down to some FP1 rain.

Who knows though, maybe that made all the difference - just curious as generally this year the 2018 results have been exceeded.

I paused it so had a 3/4 second delay, gave me time to glance at the screen

Seb at the press conferencehehe

Vettel about Max/Red Bull: "It was a bit of surprise to see, not to see them this quick but to see them that quick on the straights. A little bit suspicious."

Yup. Started strong, fizzled out.

Sad For McLaren too.
The best tyre strategy will win tomorrow - saving tyres and coming 7th in Q2 was smarter than being 1st.

This basic principle seems beyond comprehension for the moron Croft. It’s better with the sound off, so that you can make your own judgements.

You're not wrong - but I don't think sainz not going out was all about tyre saving biggrin

Yea, I hope they do well though. I'd love to see them round off their year in a good place. First time in a long time.

Given the race pace of the cars behind appear to exceed those in front I am looking forward to seeing some scrapping (though in any event the mid field is pretty even so there will be some overtaking going on).

Don't suppose any rain is forecast?

They’ve had their wings clipped on outright aero this year

Gunther just then on C4...

The upgrades this year haven't worked so they basically still have the same spec car as Australia.

He's so used to Grosjean moaning that he's used to it and doesn't hear it now hehe

That might be a new tub and gearbox for Robert so he’ll be starting at the back
If he's starting at all. They do have at least one (and probably only one) spare front wing, not sure about the tub situation these days - I know that for months they had just the two on the cars along with one used one that became a spare, can't recall if that one was used before or as a result of that manhole cover wiping GR out at Baku.
They did have a tub then, as well as nosecones as already discussed

There was a compilation on Sky of their past bits on the grid.

Brundle, who was threatened with a de facto loss of his TV role in F1 for having the temerity to criticise Moseley, could no resist a dig at the ex-man, making the bloke who used to do something in F1, look a bit of a pompous fool. I'd suggest he should let it go, apart from the fact that I'd carry on sticking pins in his effigy as well if I was Brundle.
