Quoting myself from the Brazil thread

Max Verstappen 260
Charles Leclerc 249
Sebastian Vettel 230

Vettel can't catch Verstappen now in Abu Dhabi
Leclerc needs 12 points more than Verstappen to get P3
Vettel needs 20 points over Leclerc, so a win with Leclerc having a bad time being 8th or lower (I think!?)

Normally I'd say those things are not likely to happen in one race, but after yesterday...
Verstappen beats both Ferraris if things stay as they are. Going on the late season form and if nothing big happens with reliability or crashing, Max should keep P3 in the championship. Weird things can happen though, like Brazil hehe

So reasonable chance Ferrari will end up 3rd in WCC and 4th and 5th in WDC. Great season eh!

1 Mercedes 14 wins 701 points
2 Ferrari 3 wins 479 points
3 Red Bull 3 wins 391 points

Ferrari are a safe P2 this year. Next year though... with Albon in the Red Bull full time they should really give Ferrari a fight.

Anyone else made the journey to the sand?

A new grandstand for me this year, not a bad view.

Another new engine for Botas.

No excuse now. Party mode lights to flag.

Hope they are also trialing any 2020 upgrades ?

Crofty and karun talking some utter BS on P2 yesterday about needing a reverse grid sprint race to attarct "those with a lesser attention span" - WTF, yeah right people with a "lesser attention span" are not paying sky £600 to F1 because it isn't sufficiently b@stardisedrolleyes

Mercedes already in Christmas Holiday mode? Or just taking the easy option when at any other time they would have fixed it?

Or maybe trying out various bits and pieces? Or has their reliability continued the downwards curve it seemed to in the middle of the year when customer teams were having blow-ups?

Very quick Q2 lap from Lewis on the medium tyres.

Edit: And Valtteri as well.

The Merc obviously working well on the Medium tyres.

Does Bottas really want to go for it in Q2? Surely he's better to trundle around just to be safe.

It's close at the front, and also from Albon back. Could be a good race tomorrow.

Bottas 0.35 slower, so probably not.

Crofty's a knob.

1. Hamilton was behind Norris.
2. He didn't get past him.
