I remember seeing that in Autosport when it was unveiled - the side view in the pictures looked awesome.Another Leyton House car mentioned in this brief interview with Darren Turner ... who owned it until recetly.

I took a Formula First around Silverstone once. I agree it was a hateful thing.http://www.dailysportscar.com/2020/04/30/best-car-...

That's what the article says. It explains that the Forumla First was fun because it was such rubbish. I drove one round Brands short circuit and loved it. That said, I don't think it would be any good at Silverstone. There's Corsa Cliente at Maranello. I've been in there, but the camera on my phone was covered with a security sticker, sadly.
If you're wealthy enough, you can buy ex Ferrari F1 cars and have them maintained and delivered to tracks on demand with a team of mechanics to run them. The collection of privately held cars at Maranello is amazing - I really want the last of the turbo era cars, the F1/87/88C.

The McLaren photos are great, always interesting to see the F1 machines somewhere other than the circuits or pits.
As much as they're tools for a job though, every one of those McLarens and red bulls represent a years work of hundreds of people developing the best possible car they can, for only two or three to be built.
The flip side of it is that no matter how successful a car is, almost before they're finished for their one year they're old tech and afterwards (generally) destined to spend much of the rest of their existence in a warehouse or museum, graduating from cutting edge to classic.
A little bit of a pointless waffle and the relentless development is an integral part of F1, but hopefully just getting a bit of an odd thread of thought out!
