Wow, all that hype for a 1-off livery which despite all the history in the video has never been run by the F1 team.

I suggested the Marlboro livery on the basis of "bold" but this isn't bold at all.

It certainly is a much better livery but how can “bold be back” when that livery has never been on a works McLaren F1 car and is more closely linked with Porsche in endurance racing.

Might make more sense if Porsche were planning to come back into F1 as an engine supplier and need a team to.....

Porsche or some other wing of VAG... I think its a fairly safe bet it'll happen soon enough. They've been courting F1 for many years now and probably £100m++ deep in PU development already..

I suppose it's likely they're waiting for mercedes to finish conquering the world and kindly fk off ahead of taking their place as a manufacturer.

Porsche was just a tiny proportion of the Gulf racing sponsored cars, and that only came about because JWA ran the Porsche 917 for the factory. The Gulf livery was used on the JWA GT40's pre Porsche and the JWA Mirage and Gulf Research cars post the JWA 917.
