If he can't do it then Mercedes might need to take urgent action for the second half of the season especially if Perez starts to come good.
Yes, it's Bottas v Perez for this season, and get ahead of Verstappen if it goes that way in a race. If/when Perez gets settled then he should be able to fight Bottas for podiums, and to be honest my money would be on Perez with the Merc and Red Bull being close to equal this year.

Hamilton is planning on staying for 2022, it's the reason why he did the 18" tyre rest at Imola. https://www.racefans.net/2021/04/29/hamilton-says-...

Whatever the McLaren announcement is, their twitter post has a #MonacoGP hashtag. New or one off sponsor?

I'll go with one of those single race deals for an upcoming movie that the teams seem to love at Monaco.

I hope not because that will be a serious anti-climax.
Anything that is teased in this way is almost always a serious anti-climax.
I thought it might be the new Bond film, but then that would be weird when there's an Aston Martin team hehe .

As for “Bold is Back”, what might that mean? Clearly it’s not likely to be Philip Morris, so who else used to sponsor them who might want to return to the team?
Full on McLaren Gulf? There's orange and blue lights in the picture.

Stops people asking why they haven't won a race for 9 years, I suppose.
Gasly and Perez won races last year, before that, the last non Mercedes/Red Bull/Ferrari to win a race was Kimi in a Lotus in 2013. No other team has really had a look in with the hybrid cars.

I'm constantly surprised at the wealth of knowledge here; I mean, if I want to know exactly what Lewis Hamilton thinks, what his contract is, who he has veto over, when he's retiring.... there's plenty folks here who know apparently as absolute fact all of these things roflhehe
It’s only people talking about what might happen. Nobody is claiming inside knowledge.

Anyway, you’re meant to write FACT! if you really want to show you know something. hehe

Maybe Andretti have their own idea?
An American driver I guess?
F1 wants an American driver, and Andretti likely has a few candidates in mind.

Who’s the Indycar ‘road course’ specialist wih enough Super Licence points?
He's not American but he knows F1 and drives for Andretti now...
