What's up with this misogyny dude? He's just giving her recognition which she deserves as the first woman at this position in this sport. It's a cut throat environment run by whyte men who do nothing but surround themselves with more whyte men who aren't even gay (so they have women at home, most likely, you see the pattern here). She's extremely brave.
Wow.This is a uniquely unusual response, start to finish
back to the racing, I wonder if Merc will opt to change their level of downforce for the second race.
In qualifying they were the fastest in the speed traps, redbull were 3+mph behind. In race engine modes I'd guess that gap closes down and with a third of a second in hand, we know its easier to overtake on the straights and they have enough performance in hand to lose a little in the corners.

That may be at the expense of tyre wear though...In qualifying they were the fastest in the speed traps, redbull were 3+mph behind. I'm sure they'll change many things now they have the learnings of last week, I'm sure all teams will.In qualifying they were the fastest in the speed traps, redbull were 3+mph behind. Not so sure they need to sacrifice downforce to be safer/stronger on the straights - they were running wounded last week.. assuming they have at least sorted that issue they should be more than safe.
I think red bull and Ferrari probably have the most to address in terms of downforce and setup, both a bit too spin happy last time!

But no one said anything remotely misogynistic. Nor did George give her recognition 'as a woman', she simply is the TP and his boss.
Pedant alert - Claire Williams is deputy TP (and, as a point of order, took up the position after Kaltenborn was TP at Sauber) Good point on Kaltenborn!

I'm not a knob, you sexist swine. I'm a !
That said I'm now thinking that maybe I overreacted? Maybe Oilchange is a member of the HBT+ community and likes knobs? And me saying what I said offended him? Am also thinking that I shouldn't assume it's gender! Oh the struggle of comrades in these social justice loaded times is real!

Isn't the Red Bull issue looking like a consistency of downforce problem, rather than level? So increasing overall downforce across the rear could in turn remove the inconsistency. With the obvious downside of then having to run with overall higher downforce, more drag. I'd expect they have tweaked aero to find a better overall balance.

I’m sure they said during the race that Williams don’t use the Mercedes gearbox, they have their own?
It would appear that you are right, but one of the engineers definitey mentioned Russell's failure in the same context as the potential issue with the Mercedes cars. Maybe the gearbox electronics are shared even if the mechanicals aren't? Gassing Station | Formula 1 | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
