And Brundle chips in as car continues.. ‘looks like minor damage and should be able to carry on’.

Good interviews with Ross Brawn and Michael Masi on Sky.
It’s clear they want to run qualifying this afternoon, but can’t do it wih standing water on the track as we saw in F3, or in conditions unsuitable for the medical helicopter - hospital is 90 mins by road from the circuit, which is not acceptable.
The fans will want to see it today too, if only for the chance of a more mixed grid from a wet Q session - but if we have to all come back tomorrow morning to do it, then that’s what will happen.
It’s also clear just how much time, efffort and money has gone in to getting the show on the road with everything that’s happening in the world at the moment. Hats off to all involved.

With the only fans sitting at home and no one at the track other than teams and circuit staff they can probably wait as long as they like today.
Whether or not there are fans on site, there will still be the usual considerations of Commercial Rights, TV schedule slots, etc. Teddy Lop said:
I know we've done it to death but the commentary really is pretty dire.
We've had quite a few commentators since Murray Walker retired, and I can't think of any I would rather go back to. Croft & Brundle are about the best we have had since Walker & Hunt. Edit: In my opinion, that is. This is a matter of opinion not fact, after all.

I share the same opinion - best we've had since. Murray was as innacurate as croft for sure, yet more charming. Also when he got it wrong it was hilarious more than distracting.Edit: In my opinion, that is. This is a matter of opinion not fact, after all.
Brundle is good imo. If I could mute croft and keep brundle I'd be pretty happy!

LH was well off the pace yesterday. It's tempting to think that he or the team must be up to something but he might just be distracted and off the boil. But, if we run with the former, might it be that he's set his car up for wet running?
TBH that is exactly what I thought yesterday watching his pace. Preparing for a wet race.Clockwork Cupcake said:

brundle/coulthard was the high point.
I can't agree there. They are both pundits, both of whom are used to having a commentator to work with, and neither were able to step up to the role of commentator. It simply didn't work for me. Brundle now takes his own opinion far too seriously these days and is too quick to dismiss anything he doesn't notice himself.
Nothing could be as bad as Walker and Hunt IMHO-I've said it before but dad bought Sky in '91 so we could get the European feed and rid ourselves of them! Walker is a natural treasure of course but I like the man way more than his commentary.
My judgement may be clouded by meeting Hunt and him being a complete arse mind you.

TBH that is exactly what I thought yesterday watching his pace. Preparing for a wet race.Given the forecast, it would have made good sense to split the strategies, and have one car work on wet setup why the other optimises the dry one. The ‘wet’ car would have been a total pig to drive in the dry, but have given a pile of useful data to the team.
