I’m not sure if it’s been mentioned - apologies if it has. NowTV is working out as a relatively cheap way to watch everything with all the back to back races. It’s £33p/m but if you don’t have a box already there’s some good deals around.
I was adamant I would not get a NowTV pass this year, and I refuse to get Sky. But 7am this morning my excitement got the better of me. I now have a 1 month pass to watch the start of the season live.

Everyone wearing masks.

Anyone know if this is an Austrian rule or motor sport rule?
Christian Horner has just said its an FIA stipulation.
I wouldn't be surprised if the teams had mandated it even if the FIA hadn't. With the races packed together as they are, a driver being diagnosed with Covid19 would probably mean they missed 2, potentially even 3 races due to having to isolate which could easily be enough to turn the tide of the championship. I wonder how many reserve drivers we'll see racing this year?

I don't envy them though. Masks have been mandated in enclosed public places here, on and off, for the last few months and when it's 35+ degrees they're extremely unpleasant even for a few minutes let alone for hours on end!

Exactly the same here. But given the amount of sport over the next couple of months, including F1 and cricket, it's worth the £25 a month for now.

Ta.

I also heard on commentary that everyone is tested every 5 days.

For...?

Isn't that one of the mandated spaces for the camera pods?

Lewis fastest FP1 here last year was 1:04.838

In these cooler temps that should be easily beaten. No one has pushed yet across a full lap.

Tyre temps, air temp, air flow, they often run them.

I know, I was being facetious smile

There was a small oil leak when he pitted, probably just a seal leak and oil hitting something hot. The car was out again very quickly which suggests no PU concerns, which is good!

Lewis just matched last year's time and I reckon could find plenty more, easily.

Given he did a 1:03.2 in qualifying, I rather suspect he could have done last year too if he'd wanted to, too.

I guess they had an awful lot more information on the car by the time they got here last year, mind.
