I am not a Sky Subscriber but for the last three seasons have paid for Day Passes on Now TV just for race day. I was going to do the same this year but with 4 GPs in each of the first two months it makes sense to go for the three months NowTV Sky Sports Montly Pass at £25 per month and then cancel it at the end of the third month when it will rise to 33.99. It will make even more sense if more GPs are added in the 3rd month. But I am surprised no one has mentioned F1 TV. Is that because F1 TV is only for programmes about F1 rather than live F1 races?
Cheers
Bob

Will definitely watch. This will be another Formula 1.

It will be interesting to look at the pilots who are hungry for racing. Who want to drive and win. It will be interesting to look at the marshals and everyone who works in the boxes. It is interesting to look at the public. It is interesting to look at sponsors and marketing.

This is just another Formula 1 - post-viral.

I’ve got F1 TV, but the old sky box has given up the ghost, so now reluctantly biglaugh convinced the better half that we should have Sky Q 4K..

Oh yes!!! I’m looking at trialing 4K world feed via Sky, then Pit lane channel via F1 TV on IPad, live timing on my phone and perhaps 2x onboards on my other iPad from F1 TV.

Anyway FP 1 will be interesting...

F1 TV live streaming isnt available in the UK is it?

I've been tempted with getting it via a VPN, but if they ever crack down on them then I'm kinda stuck.

NOW TV £25 offer still appears to be working...I've just signed up on my phone. It's actually pretty good value per race weekend over the next three months now that they've withdrawn the weekly pass option. last year that wouldn't have covered two weeks.
I'm glad there is still an alternative to 'full' sky package as I couldn't bring myself to pay that, having no interest whatsoever in anything else they show!

I can't see that offer?

I've got an existing NowTV account (just the basic 8.99 one) and can only see a full sky sports package @£33.99 per month.

Is the offer just for new NowTV customers or am I looking in the wrong place?!

Few bother watching, but live F1 TV has been available in the UK for years.

In exchange for free (not HD) vision though, you do have to accept commentary in German, unless you switch on BBC Radio 5 Live radio at the same time.

All you need is an ordinary satellite dish and a cheap 'set top box'. I occasionally even use caravanners' portable TV kit, with the dish placed on an internal window sill, so if you live in a flat it might still be possible (south facing required).

UK dishes point to 26°, but for the RTL channel move it clockwise slightly to 19°.
If you want to see the Free Practice today, it is on a different German TV channel. Look at the list of F1 broadcasters on Wikipedia.

By also using a tablet and laptop for the live timing chart, and on-circuit car tracker, what more could an enthusiast want for free?

Worth noting, that as I've discovered this morning, the F1 channel via the new £10 rolling contract on Sky does not give you access to it via Sky Go. You have to watch on the Sky box.

Not after this season though - Sky Germany have exclusive rights to F1 from 2021.

£3 a month more will get you the Boost HD (1080p, 5.1, 50fps, plus use on more devices), so still less than the original 33.99 / month - well worth it, the picture quality is really, really good. Much better than standard NowTV streaming quality.

Next 3 months has a lot of F1, F2, F3 and IndyCar races, so cost per race very low wink

The £25 offer was due to expire at midnight and isn't there now, I'm hoping they announce another offer today - I think last year there was a £180 for 9 months deal which was good if you also watched stuff on the other channels.

Ah ok no worries, I wouldn't normally bother and just watch the C4 stuff but as there are some races fairly close together and business is on its arse I thought I would try sky, I wouldn't watch any other sport so not that bothered.

Just a sucker for a deal wink

I missed out on the offer... I forgot all about it until today, just went on the website and it's back to £33.99 month. Dammit.

Fail on NOW TV's part. Now that the season has officially started I would have been up for 3 months at £25/month. Could have at least extended the deal into qually day. I guess I'll stick to C4.

Not good! Been watching on RTL for the past few seasons, since BBC and channel 4 couldn't afford it live. Not sure where I'll watch it from 2021?

Many other countries show F1 on their channels that are viewable online..

I have an ExpressVPN subscription, so I set my location to Austria and watched a lovely HD Austrian stream on my iPad - mute the audio and turn on Radio 5 for live commentary. Worked perfectly.

NOW TV doing Sky Sports for £25 a month for the next 2 months, plus a 50% discount on Boost so you can get 1080p. I've relented and signed up so I can get F1 and IndyCar.
