Great to read the positive comments about Lewis, there were some vitriol spitting nuggets on Twitter this morning claiming he will never be better than Schumacher because his car is much easier to drive than the cars of the early 200’S?..
I assume these people forget that those cars while of course utter Monsters, had traction control, tyres that didn’t fall to pieces and the V10’s which by their very nature have a more liner power delivery than the turbo hybrid V6’s i.e easier to get on the power.
I think by the time he’s done he will have 10 titles to his name got another 4-5 years to run easy and rightly so, can’t wait! The man is performing on another level!

It's a fantastic achievement and Hamilton deserves the accolades that come to him.

However, I'm going to stick my neck out and say he will top out at 8 titles and around 110-ish wins (which is still monumental)
Reason? The Mercedes winning train can't go on forever - history tells us that. He'll retire in 3 years, probably. I can see him trying something else then, like NASCAR or something else in the States.

Hamilton,although has a ruthless streak, I feel is a true Gentleman racer and is know entering Legendry status.

As for M.Schumacher senior.... where to start with cheating teams, leniency from the FIA and purposefully/dangerously crashing into other drivers to achieve at least two of his world championships... yes very talented but no where near the same league as Hamilton.
Imo it was a good day yesterday when Schumacher's appalling record was matched by a gentleman racer and hopefully will be beaten shortly. Not good for the sport having Schumacher as the lead in so many statistics, it sends the wrong signal completely to those setting out.

He's said before that there' no other series that interests him outside of F1 - as in to drive in. Indy is no longer a place ageing F1 stars car rock up to and wipe the field (Ask Alonso for further information) and I don't really see him in a NASCAR - a series which has been on the decline a bit.The BS about it being easy is just that - BS.

Would be interesting to see him in a Hypercar at LeMans and I think this might appeal if the right team/car came along,
Other than that, I think that when he retires then next time we'll see him drive anything competitively will be at a future Goodwood Revival.

Can’t imagine anyone who wouldn’t want to do it if given the chance and let’s face it, who wouldn’t have Lewis aboard?

A comfortable win is so nuanced with very small moments of greatness. The pass on Valteri was another example, he was still over a second behind, but must have telegraphed that VB was entering unknown territories for his tyres to end up with Lewis comfortably in front by turn-2.
It must be so bloody demoralising for the other drivers.

Schumacher's appalling record, deary me A driver in the best car throughout his career with a silver spoon in his gob that apparently is so much more 'real' than that nasty fellow Michael.
