Well, yes it is. Just time changes it.
Except no, it really isn’t you deluded nut job.
Thanks, slopes. I was reminded of one of the bullies at school who, when questioned about his behaviour, would always reply, "It's a free country." Freedom is a fragile state and those who use their own freedom to the detriment of others jeopardise it for everyone.

My favourite take from this car crash is that Lewis Hamilton had a PR team scouring the internet for anything negative said about him from somebody newsworthy, just waiting for that perfect moment to send out a press release.

The delusion is actually frightening. If this is just a tiny, tiny snapshot from one forum, can you begin to imagine the actual st that Lewis has had to put up with and be exposed to during his career?!

I’m not a big fan of the Daily Fail, I mainly read the sports section. They tend to go with loaded clickbate headline and pictures when Lewis or Serena…
This piece on the Pique, Lewis, Max, the reaction to it is actually pretty decent… there’s also the usual comments but more than expected in support in Lewis, many like those above who don’t particularly like him but appreciate what he has had to endure.

Presumably cbop is happy for people to say all xxx people should be killed because they’re vermin, if he believes in all free speech? And that there should be no consequences to it either (I.e like people ignoring them in the future and not publishing their bile).

It’s amazing how many people are willing to interpret things a bit differently when it’s about race.
Not looking to defend the eejit but in reality, almost nobody in the western world thinks speech that directly calls for physical harm against a person or group should be allowed.

Joseph Conrad published a novel called ‘The N****r Of The Narcissus’ in 1897. His friends (the likes of H G Wells and Ford Maddox Ford begged him to change the title, and reviewers picked up on its ‘ugliness’ (see the Wikipedia article). It was published in the USA only after the title was changed.

It look like the woke generation were about 120 years ago.

Except they do, see Anders Brevik for example and only this last month in the county i live in, some teenager got arrested for right wing terror offences.
See also in the last few months, people being arrested in the UK for being members of banned right wing groups with a deep hatred of certain races and religions.

Sadly prejudice has not been eradicated in the western world, the people who peddle it have just learnt to go underground to avoid detection.

It's unbelievable isn't it. Particular amazement to me are the ones that say "I don't care about politics, just focus on the racing". The idea that simple decency is somehow "politics" banghead

Well, Sunday will be Lewis's 300th Grand Prix. What one race stands out as his greatest, do we think?

There's a hell of a list to choose from, but I am going for Silverstone 2008, where Hamilton appeared to have been beamed in from another planet.

I just watched that - and Brazil 2008. It was pretty exciting then wasn't it?

I would go with this. Although Coolhands has a good point as this was underrated at the time IMO.

I’ll go with Silverstone 2008 too.

18 months in to his F1 career; he made everyone else in the field look like amateurs.

He’s had that gulf in pace since; Brazil 2021 springs to mind, but it’s been with a distinct car advantage. 2008 was another world though.
