Except of course for those seasons when Lewis didnt have the fastest car, see 2010-2013 and arguably 2017 & 2018 where the Ferrari was faster than the Mercades.
Michael also had by far the fastest car for most of his carere, but for some reason thats not held against him the same way it is for Lewis.

Plus Hamilton had to deal with (and beat) Alonso, Rosberg, and Button as teammates, whereas Schumacher tended to have subservient journeymen.

Not only the fastest car, but the entire team focussed on getting him the WDC including a team mate who existed only to facilitate that. Plus he was a dirty cheating scumbag.

How people can think that Schumacher is a more worthy 7 times WDC than Hamilton is beyond me.

Splitting hairs at that point. Both were/are immense and really raised the level of the whole sport. The situation of one shouldn't be used to slight the other. Two giants imo, coming from an alonso fan

Yeah. It should definitely be 9, 2007 was the VERY suspicious car failure at the last race, and as well all know he won in 2021 but had the title removed by a mistake. Not bad going.

Hamilton finished 7th in the last race (Brazil). It was China where it was lost, where he was left out on very old tyres, down to the canvas before being called in and he could not get back to the box.

There have been whispers that this was deliberate because a McLaren driver would not be allowed to win the WDC with the McLaren disqualification.
