Lewis Hamilton (Vol. 2)

From experience you can quite easily have famous people going unnoticed if people are not expecting to see them and they are trying to be low key. No one would have been glancing around looking or expecting Lewis Hamilton to be in the crowd. As long as he wasn’t with some entourage and dressed to not stand out, the vast majority of people would not have given a second look.
Your right. Some years back, I was at Brands watching some club race. Think it may have been a BRSCC meet. Nothing special. Stood at the top of Druids in a wooly hat and what looked liked a M&S coat was Bernie Ecclestone, supping from a polystyrene cup of coffee like the rest of us. Did a double take but was most definitely him. I must of been the only one who noticed him. He was on his own and looked like any other punter.

I am surprised you managed to spot him behind a polystyrene cup. Some years back, I was at Brands watching some club race. Think it may have been a BRSCC meet. Nothing special. Crikey, some of the responses! Not here to be controversial but that’s the way forums work, people have different views. Others have theirs and I’m not saying you’re wrong with your views. They are just different views.
For what it’s worth, I think he’s one of the greatest F1 drivers, perhaps not one of the most personable or favourite of mine, but again that’s my own view. I’m a tifosi
but some of the cringe social media stuff Charles and Carlos do, I would make negative comments about it. I’m not suddenly a hater or anti French/Spanish. It’s far too easy to chuck some race agenda just because someone has a view that doesn’t align with yours.
I wouldn’t have given a second thought about Hamilton not attending the btcc. However, he did and I looked at the social and thought it smacked of still managing to make it me, me, me.
As for appearance. I don’t think it’s really much of a stretch to make a ‘gang’ look comparison to it. It isn’t suggested he is actually a gangster! The look would likely draw more glances than going without, simply for the fact it has negative (criminal) connotations to it.

Incredibly you managed to post "look the same" without posting "look the same"... For what it’s worth, I think he’s one of the greatest F1 drivers, perhaps not one of the most personable or favourite of mine, but again that’s my own view. I’m a tifosi

It clearly referred to general appearance, as in clothing. Colour of skin is not relevant.
Is this better?

Would likely have got away without the full gangster look in such an unexpected setting. Jacket done up, hood, baseball cap likely sufficient.
Still managed to shift it into a me, me, me thing. Could have just got on with life but instead needed the self congratulation for going to watch his brother racing. Someone has also tagged along to take photos of him watching with the purpose of then posting the picture for socials.
Big pat on the back.

I can't see Diane Abbott or Naomi Schiff in the line up...? Odd omission...For what it’s worth, I think he’s one of the greatest F1 drivers, perhaps not one of the most personable or favourite of mine, but again that’s my own view. I’m a tifosi

Weather at Donington last Sunday wasn't exactly summery - about 9 degrees and intermittent rain. I'd guess quite a few people had hoods up and scarves or balaclavas to keep warm. I've worn similar while freezing and drowning at Snetterton on several occasions. For what it’s worth, I think he’s one of the greatest F1 drivers, perhaps not one of the most personable or favourite of mine, but again that’s my own view. I would have known about Nicolas' success, because I watched the BTCC coverage at the weekend. It was great to see him doing well and celebrating with his family after the race. At the time, I thought it was a shame Lewis didn't seem to be there, especially with the break in F1, so I'm really pleased to see that he was but allowed Nicolas the limelight he deserved.
Good on both of them!
I don't know if you got the memo but this is the Hamilton thread.Good on both of them!
You need to feed in an underlying racial narrative into each post somehow.
At the very minimum a comment must be backhanded.
Tsk. Wholesome content on topic. Whatever next.

BLM240...please enlighten me. 1) Do you know what clothes he has in his wardrobe to choose from? Any BTTC applicable Poundland scarf?
2) Would you expect Lewis to study archive pictures of a typical BTCC crowd and then go shopping for bobble hats, etc, just so that he fit with your expectations of how a BTCC spectator blended in?
3) Were Scott of the Antartic and Sir Edmund Hillary the original gangstas? (sorry, I couldn't find a pic with warmly-clothed "threatening" Nepalese Sherpas holding a Glock to back up my lazy assertion...)
