Do you think he’s handling his transition out of Mercedes well?
Looks like a pretty good move to me

I see Hamilton is acting like a baby again with the press, he needs some better people around him to coach him. Certainly not showing himself in the best light with his interactions. Amazing he doesn't understand the circus, after being at the centre of it for so long wink
To save me trawling the web to find what it is that is triggering you…..can you provide the detail?

None of these modern F1 drivers would be able to make it to F1 in the 70's or 80's, they simply wouldn't be brave enough to take the risk (other than Alonso).

He’s been secretly recorded saying BMW's I-drive is better than the Mercedes system.

Similarly, none of the F1 drivers would be able to make it to F1 today, not one of them had the physical fitness required. MS was the first driver to really push peak fitness.

This is the only story I can find about Hamilton specifically today

https://www.skysports.com/f1/news/12433/13117256/l...

"I don't feel like I need my decision vindicating"

"I know what was right for me, and that hasn't changed since the moment that I made the decision."

"There's not been a moment where I questioned it, and I'm not swayed by other people's comments"

"Even today, there's people continuing to talk **** and it will continue on for the rest of the year," he added. "And I'll have to just do what I did the previous time.

"Only you can know what's right for you and it will be an exciting time for me."

I don't really see the issue? Unless you're referring to something else? confused

Indeed, the current drivers are all serious athletes, crazy fit. It’s not like the old James Hunt story that the team manager and his assistant spent too many Sunday mornings trying to find him, as he’d regularly not stayed in his own room in the team’s hotel on Saturday night!

Was it MS who was the first driver to turn up with a full-time physiotherapist, rather than a personal assistant, at the race weekends? Now every driver has their own physio. Speaking of physios, and as this is the LH thread, has anyone seen or heard anything about Angela Cullen since she left Lewis?

I saw her posting a few things on instagram and she seemed surprised she had become somewhat famous in her own right. I did wonder if she will be back with him at ferrari.

If memory serves right senna took his fitness seriously. As did Barry sheene (other than all the fags). He just used to tell everyone he didn't iirc.

It's different these days though. It has to be total dedication. Plus all the media stuff not like the good old days. Breakfast of champions biggrin

I'm not sure about that, they didn't push fitness because it wasn't needed, I don't think there is reason to believe they wouldn't be capable of it if required.

What's for certain is that someone like Lance Stroll wouldn't be racing if there was any serious risk involved.

I did wonder if we might see her back at Ferrari as well, although as you say she didn’t particularly like how she’d suddenly become famous. None of the other physios are famous, but Angela is quite distinctive looking and always stood out in a crowd to photographers and TV cameras, the diminutive blonde lady, whereas the other trainers are all men and look just like team mechanics unless you know who they are.

Yes Senna was pretty fit physically as well, a few years before MS.

What is it that he's said that's upset you?
If you can find the pre race interview, he gave, before the 2007 Australian Grand Prix when he replied to to question "Don't you feel privileged to be racing with a top team? (McLaren) He replied "At least I won't be racing with the monkeys at the back of the grid".
From then on he has been a nobody in my eyes.

You hold a grudge from something a 21 year old said, in a throwaway fashion before his first ever race in F1, 17 years ago? And nothing he has done or said matters?

Mental.

Not sure Niall Horan would have lasted in Led Zeppelin either, but hey.
