When interviewing Wolff Why do the Sky team concentrate on Hamilton’s position rather than Bottas’s win,
Obviously because Hamilton is a Championship contender.PH User said:

Because they think the ONLY reason they are there and SKY F1 exists is because Hamilton is British, when if you talk to people I would expect over half of F1 fans over here cant stand him!!
Can't stand him? Why, because of his haircut?! But keeping on topic. Croft seems a bit more muted this weekend. I like button and at least he corrected Croft a few times but dare I say it, he came across a bit dull. I think brindle/button would be a good combo out of the current team.
It’s always interesting listen to button talk about LH. He is very studiedly quite disinterested and keeps everything very factual. Quite different to the way that Rosberg, when he was doing commentary, spoke about at Lewis.
Ranking the substitute second commentators that I have heard this year, for me it goes:
1 (by a long way). Anthony Davidson
2. Nico Rosberg (he annoyed me less than I thought and he had great insight)
3. Jenson Button (ok but light-ish on insight - maybe just the race?)
4. Paul Di Resta - it’s like what he wants to say is run through google translate English —> German —> Japanese —> Spanish —> English before he speaks. See also his analysis of LH and MV at Monza - logically inconsistent and fundamentally flawed due to his bias (Damon hill and johnny Herbet pulled him up on it)
I felt that David Croft babbled more alongside JB than he does with Martin Brundle who seems to moderate the banality of Croft quite well, apparently.

Just to throw my opinion into the ring... I really like Crofty, yes he's a bit over the top, but I am sure that's what he has been told to do to help make F1 more appealing/exciting to newer viewers.
Paul Di Resta on the other hand is my absolute least favourite person on television.

If he'd just stop shouting I could probably overlook the pointless statistics, rhymes that he seems to think are funny, lack of knowledge and the fact that he seems to believe he is the next Murray Walker and a national institution.
Having to adjust the volume multiple times during a race is infuriating, especially when all a sports commentator should be is background noise and silent when necessary, I'm not sure if I blame him or the whole sky ethos.
I watched a couple of races on channel 4 this year and their coverage was far better, if they had the live races I simply wouldn't watch sky.

Crofty doesn't really bother me either way, we've certainly had a lot worse presenters in the past. Paul Di Resta on the other hand is my absolute least favourite person on television.
I agree about Paul Di Resta though, he really is annoying.

The OP seems overly biased and protective of an unpopular viewpoint.
