Croft has to go
Discussion
I might suggest trying to talk about this every two weeks for hours and hours.
there is far too much coverage, way too much live coverage, it does not warrant it, they do it as they are spending vast sums covering it and think you need to know every detail, when in fact they just talk tot he same people all the time, and the team Pr's feed them stuff to get coverage.
do you really need 6 or 7 presenters? It is just a licence to print money.
But I do have sympathy with them, the sport is supposed to be endlessly exciting thrilling etc, and most of the time it is fairly dull, so imagine trying to inject interest and enthusiasm as they are paid to, I would not want to do it, but they are all on the SKY gravy train and have to.
So, complain away, but you have choices, dont watch it, or try and do it yourself and I guarantee you will be as boring as they are.

But they dont give us every detail, they give us - with rare exceptions - a vacuous and glossy perspective with minimal insight. Half the time David Croft is just reading out statistics. A third of the time he’s commentating on hypotheticals. The remaining amount of time he’s commentating on whether the car 100m behind the one in front is going to try to pass into T1 (obviously not, it’s not close enough), or otherwise trying to create tension that simply isn’t there.
After the race has finished the ‘pundits’ (bleurgh) contort the events and facts to support their pre-determined ‘angle’ or ‘story’ for the weekend (e.g. from earlier this year, ‘Is Hamilton past it?!’ after his team mate finishes ahead a few times by dint of safety car lottery.). Often there are obvious non-sequiturs in their reasoning or just minimal evidence for the conclusions they are drawing.
OK, it’s not easy to do live. But perhaps just try and LOOK and LISTEN to what’s happening in front of you and respond to that. Don’t back-reason the story you have come up with onto the facts you’ve got. It’s ok for a race not to be amazing, or for sometimes nothing much to happen, or to talk honestly about mistakes that people (teams, drivers, officials) have made.
I just want to see informed experts reacting honestly and straightforwardly to what they have seen, and giving me their detailed initial thoughts on it.

‘The old switcheroo’ belongs absolutely nowhere near our ears.

Embarrassing bit of interchange in FP2 as Ted suggests they go to the upcoming break and Croft bullies him into continuing and asking if Ted’s now the producer as he’s deciding when the break should be taken!
I'm not anti/croft or anti/anyone, but that was seriously embarrassing for all involved, and all listening. Dashnine said:

That should have been a sackable offence in itself, bloody cringeworthy.I'm sure the pair of them (Croft and Ted) are getting worse, fumbling over words/ not being able to string coherent sentences together/ rambling along over total st/ constantly getting drivers mixed up....the list could go on.
I am sure that Ted utterly hates Croft and always has done, I don't blame him the guy is a cretin of the highest order who has far outstayed his welcome, he is a darts commentator at best, the drunkards and athletic ability of most players just about suits his style and shape
he will never leave unless sacked, SKY probably think he is amazing, and you have to say why should he leave, he is living the life of riley, I also happen to think Brundle loathes the man aswell.
