He likes to create controversy. He’s a pratt, pure and simple - well actually, very simple.

I assumed was saying hangry, because he'd noticed it means angry and you get penne arrabiata and because it has fk all to do with anything we need or want to hear about.

But equally maybe he was just saying hungry because he can only think about food.

Hate it when he whines on about blue flags and his 'solution' without the ability to think what it would mean if they were got rid of.

Don't think Ted likes him that much either.

The thread is about Croft, so didn't think I needed to say.

It’s by no means unique to David Croft but “six one hundredths” really annoys me. Nobody says “six one apples” or that “i lose four one tenths of my income to tax” [keeping it PH]. “Six hundredths [of a second]” is fine.
Not to mention his inability to do simple maffs, 0.029 according to Croft is 2 "one hundredths", when the rest of civilised world would round up to 3 as they were taught in primary schools.

Im no fan of Croft, an he was getting a lot of stick about this on Free practise, but to be fair he did say that his colleagues at Sky Italia told him that Arrabbiata meat both hungry and angry (hence 'hangry').
I don't know, maybe they were winding him up?!

didn't see this, but it sounds typical of the half arsed & ignorant way he goes about things.

I mean if you're going to try to look clever on telly in front of millions, how hard is it with the worlds knowledge in every pocket to check a fact? Maybe croftys never heard of the internet? I'd love to witness his discovery of it!

Having watched quite a few older races recently, crofty's commentary is much better and would be sorely missed in my view.

I find Crofty 49/51, like nearly perfect weight distribution, but in this case it`s not a great analogy... constant verbal muck-ups that make me roll my eyes, and yeah, his gushing horse-race commentary at the start is a bit hard to listen to but in the overall scheme of things it`s bearable. My wife leaves the room when things get exciting, as Croft ramps it up to a point that annoys the hell out of her, or she`ll ask from another room if the guy is having a seizure. biglaugh
When we`re watching the start and first lap I need to wind down the volume so she can handle him, and I can still hear a bit of info! He obviously provides lots of valid facts and figures and generally makes a decent fist of it, and when he blurts a factual blunder, Brundle (Blunder, Brundle... hmmm...) will often jump in and correct it. The balance of Brundle`s knowlegable influence and coming out with gems like "Ambition well ahead of adhesion" gives it all a Laurel and Hardy kinda stability, & means I won`t be in the vigilante brigand that calling for Crofty`s head.
Well, not yet.
Him screeching at the top of his voice is enough to make me turn the sound off completely.
Utter fktard, ruins the race for me.

Brundle had used that one to death.

Another he uses to death - “works” Ferrari. There are no customer Ferraris on the grid!! Haas and Alfa, no matter what people think about technical partnerships, are not Ferraris. Croft has now picked this up as well.

Croft doesn’t normally bother me (as much as a lot of people on here) but he was utterly woeful today. I think half the time he gets himself so worked up that he makes errors but we’re not talking Murray Walker here. He’s just poor.
