Croft has to go
Discussion
Did anyone watch the N24 and listen to Alex Brundle commentating? I thought it was brilliant, quietly understated and extremely knowledgable.
As someone further up the thread said, we don't need shouty shouty commentary anymore, we have enormous televisions and hundreds of different camera angles, we can see what is going on, we just need someone to elaborate on what is going on.

The only thing more annoying than Croft on sky is the continual bloody Alfa Romeo adverts
But at least they dropped the "When I race I take my time, otherwise I take my time! line.
we worked that one out eventually, it is when I race "they" take my timeBut at least they dropped the "When I race I take my time, otherwise I take my time! line.
meaning, if I dont drive with just the right amount of caution, my time will suffer, or some such Zen bks.
EDIT
Just listened to it again, your right, its "When I race they take my time, otherwise I take my time"

It's Croft's bloody SHOUTING that puts me off more than anything. It makes his commentary unbearable to me.
If the broadcaster just set his mic. to 1/2 volume or less, I wouldn't have to keep muting the TV.
Imagine being stuck in a small sweaty box with him. If the broadcaster just set his mic. to 1/2 volume or less, I wouldn't have to keep muting the TV.

What we need to Karun to do the main chat with Martin to do the secondary. That would be Perfect.......
Prefer Croft to Chandhok personally.Croft becomes white noise, easily ignored. Karun is more invasive and still as bad.

You’d have thought that when they were planning for the ads, they’d realise that playing the same ad a dozen times a day to almost the same audience each weekend was as likely to get them annoyed with you as talking positively about your product! But at least they dropped the "When I race I take my time, otherwise I take my time! line.
On the other hand, the Petronas infomercials were good this weekend, leveraging their Mercedes sponsorship to make a longer form presentation to a knowledgeable audience.
