I don't like watching the highlights, you get no real feeling for how the race is going. That and Croft doesn't bother me.
I thought I was the only one, he's just a commentator, if you don't like him turn it down or find a different audio stream. I can't say I've ever been distracted by his apparent shoutinesssociopath said:

I tried to use the live video from Sky and the radio 5 live commentary on Sunday, but it didn't quite sync, so that was a non-starter.Regarding Croft, it is far more than just being shouty. He also has very little understanding of what he is shouting about and doesn't seem to have any idea of when he can reduce the volume of his screaming. He's offensively inept.

Same thing ruined football commentary for me a while back. When Motty retired and screamy Jonathan Pearce started wetting his pants everytime the ball was in the final third.
Good for hyping Robot Wars to <12s. st to try and get any real world atmosphere from a game.
Interesting point about Jonathan Pearce. I couldn't stand him when he first started commentating as he shouted and got over excited all the time. Unlike Croft, he has matured and in my opinion is a good commentator. maybe he can have a shout in Croft's ear!Good for hyping Robot Wars to <12s. st to try and get any real world atmosphere from a game.

They always give a countdown to a sync point on R5L, either to the green light at the start of a Q session or the start of the parade lap. It's not hard to pause the audio on a laptop for a few seconds until the TV picture catches up.thegreenhell said:

I really enjoyed the calmness of this morning session, coupled with inteligent conversation.
Bugger, Croft is back for P2
I remember Crofty being like that when we had FP on the BBC red button, low volume all calm with discussions with Ant and Karun, fans liked it and was why he was promoted to lead commentator but now he's took it to the other extreme, that don't like this version of crofty but for all we know Sky may have told him they want this?Bugger, Croft is back for P2

He's better than some other commentators
I've always though Sky should use Davide Valsecchi for the English/global feed - he was always hilarious doing GP2, and his latin excitement was at least genuine.Johnny 'Sort Of' Herbert though. The worst person on Sky's coverage. Next time he is on watch out for his use of 'Sort Of'.

You can give them some slack surely.
