Monza it is pretty widely known that torro rosso gambled on a wet set up when no one else did.
Mark Webber just wasn't that good tbh
4x wdc yes good but he is not a "great" better than most but not as special.
A bit like Scott Russel when Carl Fogarty beat him it broke him.
Webber was that good, of course he was. Just when your car is nobbled you wont be as fast as your team mate who is the golden child...Mark Webber just wasn't that good tbh

Morning campers. Rise and Shine cos it’s race day here on the Algarve!!
Forecast for the day is overcast, with the potential of rain in the area of the circuit from 3pm onwards, so might not effect the race.
Here’s the sky from my balcony this morning.
Just cooking breakfast, then heading up to the circuit.

Vettel seems to only be able to get the best out of himself if he’s in with a chance.
If he’s in a car that’s not capable of getting the job done, consciously or subconsciously, he doesn’t quite perform. This may be what winning 4x WDC does to you, I don’t know.
To me, he seems very secure in his own abilities and not concerned that some may think that LeClerc is suddenly miles better.

His q1 run would have placed him in P7 in q2, he's just phoning it in at present.. he's literally taking a sabbatical while driving..If he’s in a car that’s not capable of getting the job done, consciously or subconsciously, he doesn’t quite perform. Tend to agree. Since they dropped him, he seems to be wilfully taking ridiculous chances in races too, on the off chance they 'might' work out and he'll look like a genius. If we can see the likelihood of contact or a last minute emergency backing out causing a spin I'm sure with all his experience he can see the likelihood in advance too. At Ferrari right now he seems to take any chance for the hell of it - reckless abandon..?Then again, who pays the price for his larking around on track? Ferrari do as a team. Does he think he owes them anything at this stage? Probably not.

Maybe the rain might turn up early at 2pm, in the middle of the race for even more excitement!

Tin foil hat on, suits Racing Point to finish 3rd in the WCC, and finishing 5/6th may well be a suitable punishment for the engine/fuel trickery for Ferrari, and it would seem they are both going to be better off without each other.

With no reference to me, her inspector, the super dumped her in the front office, oddly enough where suffering fools was the major requirement. Still, she became someone else’s responsibility. After three or four days, the super stormed into my office saying that she was to leave immediately, and ‘get the paperwork done quickly’. Easy enough. I passed it onto her new supervisor.
I went into the front office to find her in uniform, with her feet up on a desk, reading a book. She told me that the super had come into the office, had seen her and demanded, ‘What do you think you’re doing?’ She had replied, ‘I think I’m working my notice.’
Vettel?

We're overdue some controversy at the front. Will Max oblige today?
I'm betting on a midfield carnage race, rather like we had in Mugello. All the undulations and unsighted corners could lead to safety cars breeding safety cars, and like at Mugello the start/finish line is halfway down the main 'straight' as the cars can follow closely through the last corner. Someone is definitely going to miss the braking point for the first corner of the race, which will be much earlier than they'll all be expecting.
If there's fun up the front, it's almost certain that Max will be somehow involved in it though. Lewis and Valtteri demonstrated well at the last race just how close they can fight, while still keeping a couple of inches between their cars.

I agree that the midfield might be a dangerous place to be. It will be worth watching though. Is Chas out of place? The overtakes with just marginal differences could be fun.Someone is definitely going to miss the braking point for the first corner of the race, which will be much earlier than they'll all be expecting.

If MV has any knowledge of the criticisms of his offensive language - he won't look for it but it might have been brought up by the stewards or even his boss - then he might well throw a strop. Turn 1 - 5 might be worth watching on lap 1. Let's hope he takes no one off.

I like her style. But that’s not really what I want to see if I walk into a police station. Neither is it a great advertisement to your potential future employer. Unprofessional.

One would hope that even a disgruntled officer might find the personal respect and sense of responsibility to do better than put their feet up. In all walks of life there are selfish people that have little regard for the bigger picture and their responsibilities though! But that’s not really what I want to see if I walk into a police station. Perhaps a bit different for Seb, depends what motivates him currently.
Who's to say what conversations Seb has had with Stroll regards moving to RP/AM? Lawrence might be fully on board with Seb not giving a toss for his remaining time at Ferrari. Helps his team out his season, and could potentially look like a win if Seb suddenly does get his act together once in his new seat.
