No decent support races? I know F2 aren't there and F3's done.

I always try to get in and in place for first support race whatever meet I'm going to.
There is a GT race and the Revolution series.

Watched them both yesterday, so wasn’t in a rush to get in this morning.
Fair enough - hope the wait in the queue isn't too long!

Hope it's a great day.

Anyone else a little uneasy about the blind crest onto the start finish straight? I see a potential pileup after the safety car pulls in before the race restarts...
the thought had entered my mind too

also with the elevation changes at other points on the circuit the drivers won't have as much visibility as they would on a totally flat circuit.

Lets hope they've all learned their lesson from Mugello

One of the Revolution racers just dropped an engine on the straight, and subsequently a load of oil through turn one, before parking it in the kitty litter on the outside of T1.

Whoops, hopefully they manage to get that cleaned up!

The clouds are the interesting thing in that pic, would you say it was colder and windier than yesterday?

Those watching the Spa 24h are currently putting on their wading boots and getting out their fishing rods!

A shame no F2 at the moment. That was providing some excellent entertainment this season!

Yes and yes. Wind is blowing west to east, so I’m watching clouds come in from my right.

Lando yesterday was saying about the wind as the cars climb out of turn 2, well that will be much worse today.

Thanks for that!
(Adds a couple of quid more to his bet on there being a safety car during the race).

Sunnier now, looks like a dry race with rain holding off until 17.00.

Winds SW gusting to 30kph by mid-race, it will be a significant factor...

My view, first turn then big crest into turn onto pit lane straight. Possibly full of action...

Car recovery is quick and effective.

L200 tows stricken car behind the barrier within two laps so minimal safety car period, then gets recovered with a crane at the end of the race.

There might be a few f1 cars parked in this little service road later laugh

That’s a cracking view!

The marshalls at T1 have the big big roll out for the oil spill

Neither is it a great advertisement to your potential future employer. Unprofessional.
Is that a dig at Vettel or the officer?

She took parents of a youth to the inspectors' office for a caution for burglary. She, like the inspector felt it a bit light. The mother was wondering why her delicate creature felt the need to steal, and the WPC said, 'We reckon he's just a little s**t'. It was seen as the last straw, but no one could argue with her conclusion.

I do feel that for Vettel, he's given up and, as you say, such behaviour can't be comforting for RP.

I reckon it's got a lot to do with having kids. From my experience, it changes one's point of view on a lot of matters. He's got 3 young 'uns. The responsibility might well have got to him. It's happened to other drivers. Just blunts the edge. Winning lacks it's previous importance.

What time does the race start today? The OP says 13:10 uk time 14:10 local time but there is no time difference between the UK and Portugal at the moment.

If he's worried about his kids he might like to stop making pointless and flawed lunges which inevitably lead to contact or spinning off when he has to back out at the last minute?

Thanks. That’s good, I have got everything in place for that time so I have 2 hours peace and quiet to watch it.

Anyone with time to kill ahead of the GP could do worse than to tune in to GT 24 hrs running currently at Spa - a very wet and miserable Spa! smile
