Also, Stroll and Racing Point's behaviour over the positive COVID test was disgraceful, I can't believe that the driver and team weren't punished. I assume that Stroll didn't fancy quarantining in Portugal and so didn't take a test until he got home!
Germany wasn't it?

I agree however, Racing Point's actions were beyond the pale. The BBC Chequered Flag podcast did quite a big section on it on their pre race show and really went to town on them. They quite rightly made the point of how F1 had received special dispensation from governments all around the world and they very much put the whole paddock at risk.
Just listed to that this afternoon. Link: https://www.bbc.co.uk/sounds/play/p08w3v48

It definitely appears there was a serious protocol breach, yet no-one seems to be saying much about it other than this BBC show.

The presenters are correct that this sort of incident has the potential to undermine the huge efforts made by everyone involved in F1 to get the show on the road this year, one of very few international touring sports to run. There’s plans to start next season as scheduled, and they need to convince governments in places like Australia, China and Vietnam that F1 are taking things seriously.

After big strolls aggressive rant the other month they are all scared to say anything out loud in F1 land.
Careers at stake after all. A lot of them hope to have little jr in racing one day and would probably flunk the joining a stroll team if they called all this out.
So his sinister influence will grow and grow lol.

Anybody else notice Albon seemed to be turning in earlier from the onboards?
I thought Sky F1 said they have "improved" the car in that it now has a better front end to suit his style but it has made the rear a bit too light which he doesn't like so made it a touch worse....

Very, very few of us have met each other.

Perhaps take a moment to think about why other users keep bringing up your attitude and conduct. Once you’ve convinced yourself your bad manners are acceptable and everyone else’s poor view of you is wrong, you can try and placate the niggling doubt that everyone else might just be right and it really is true, no one likes you.

Indeed. JSF, you're knowledge is valuable - your delivery of that knowledge tends to be abrupt (putting it mildly!) which actually amuses me quite often biggrin

Personally on an F1 forum, which is quite a technical subject really... I put knowledge and sharing of that knowledge above the manner or tone in which it's presented. Perhaps you can't help your unique manner (a little like Gordon Ramsey can't help his outbursts when someone gets something slightly incorrect...?), but you clearly do choose to contribute and share, which is the most important factor on a forum such as this imo.

Also it's fun to piss you off sometimes smile

Excellent as always from Mercedes. Never afraid to explain things that are often not talked about by the teams, very easy to see that these guys are at the top of their game.

I'm sure they present things 'a certain way' sometimes. But as a team the culture is to embrace mistakes and question themselves. They're introspective in a good way. It's certainly done them well - literally every mistake becomes a prompt to explore an improvement.

They obviously don't give anything secretive away in their endless videos but I would say that in general they're refreshingly frank and they talk to the audience in an intelligent way - not all dumbed down. Their videos are very positive for the sport I think!

Get their story straight?

They had a dominant 1-2 in the race and scored a maximum 44 championship points, having qualified 1-2 the day before - they couldn't possibly have performed any better as a team.

Getting bored again now. Respect to Hamilton but such dominance is just dull to watch. Next season will be a walk over with most teams admitting they have no intention of really developing their cars further due to the changes in 2022. And with Honda leaving the sport just as they were getting more competitive I see a return to the dull days of Schumacher / Vettel at their unchallenged peak...me - I'll be off to Thruxton to watch touring cars (hopefully!).
