Need to get some audio for watching YouTube etc. from the PC, but all the speakers i seem to see for sale are black square boxes of plastic or OTT LED projecting kind of stuff, which I'm not looking for

Budget is 100 -150 , a single speaker is fine, in fact preferable to keep the desk space to a maximum

Would love something like the Sonos play 1 in quality and looks, nothing 'out there' nor shiny box of black plastic, just needs to plug into a 3.5mm jack on the pc and work, pref no sub either, id just keep kicking it on the floor,

Any ideas please?

Bose SoundLink Revolve ?

Are you sure you don't want stereo? - takes more space but more interesting to listen to.

I currently use a Cambridge Audio TV2 sound base - saves desk space as my monitor is sat on it.

About 50cm wide and 10cm high and deep enough for my dell monitor base with a bit to spare front and back roughly 30cm.

Previously I've used a Cambridge audio Air 200 sat in front of my monitor but it took up too much room and i needed my monitor a touch too high for comfort really.

Second Hand Bose Companion 3 set from Ebay - I bought mine second hand for 150 in 2011 and it is as good as when I bought it. And it gets ALOT of hard use. Nothing can touch it for sound, it is sublime.

Purchased a Bose sound link color II as it has a mm jack i can connect up to the PC with

Works well, smart to look at and takes a small foot print up on the desk, audio is fine for my purposes, basically just for YouTube surfing and music in the background for occasions
