100%! He was infected at the time by a piece of one of the slowest cars on the grid - he was very lucky to drag that home to 2nd with the power it must have been sucking from his car
Does that mean that about 2% of the ferrari car crossed the line at exactly the same time he did though..?
The most competitive any piece of a Ferrari has been all year. Does that mean that about 2% of the ferrari car crossed the line at exactly the same time he did though..?
Hamilton’s drive on Sunday reminded me of a typical Schumacher performance. Driving exactly as fast as needed at exactly the right time to manage car and tyres for the best potential result.
I’ve said before that he seems to have the best attributes of most of the great drivers in the modern era.

Indeed, he is the S. LOEB of the f1 world. Very different driver than when he joined F1. Hamilton’s drive on Sunday reminded me of a typical Schumacher performance. Driving exactly as fast as needed at exactly the right time to manage car and tyres for the best potential result.

Is there something under the floor under the orange circle too?
Same (Ferrari) part I thought? It’s also a clear explanation of why he was pitted immediately after Versappen - there’s no way the Dutchman on new tyres wouldn’t have been faster, and that pit stop made not only the win but the 1-2 on for Mercedes - if they’d been one lap late, Max was in the lead and the Mercs 2-3.

One mans' dull is another man's 'interesting'. Personally I think this season has been one of the most enjoyable to watch and probably one of the most exciting regardless the dominance of Mercedes / Hamilton.
Yep, it’s been an utterly brilliant season. Sure, there’s been a few races where you had to ignore the first two or three cars, but the midfield has been an almighty scrap that sees three teams separated by a single point, fighting all the way for that final step on the Constructors’ championshp podium. Although I'm half convinced that the biggest change is not in the racing but that the TV directors seem to have finally learned that it makes better television to show battles in the mid-field than the lead car trundling around 30 seconds in front of everyone else. This season, viewed as televised entertainment, has been one of the best I can remember.

They don't have celebs in the garages or crowds to cut away to, which has certainly helped. This season, viewed as televised entertainment, has been one of the best I can remember.
At Portimao they left it a full 5 laps before showing the customary 37 angles of the start, impressive restraint which they rarely have, even if something exciting is happening.

Great, but unlike Schuey LH didn't see the need to ram his nearest competitor into the wall! Hamilton’s drive on Sunday reminded me of a typical Schumacher performance. Driving exactly as fast as needed at exactly the right time to manage car and tyres for the best potential result.

A real class class act and I can't wait for LH to beat all of the MS F*cking cheating B*stard "records".
