Rain for Saturday looking increasingly likely - about as likely as it gets in the desert...
It rains every year in Qatar between November & January. As it's only for a day or so each time they don't bother with building drains in the road so the underpasses literally fill up.TheDeuce said:

If memory serves..... I'm pretty certain it rained for FP1 at Abu Dhabi the first time F1 went there. I can recall seeing the Porsches driving on this weird foam that had been created for some reason.Mr Pointy said:

I know he can’t - but how cool would it be if he drove like that under safety car conditions https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HYgWvkpjLDk

Watching a previous version of the safety car drifting at Silverstone was the highlight one year I was there.Unfortunately it’s slower and the F1 cars wouldn’t appreciate that.

It rained on the day of the first ever Bahrain Grand Prix, I was there. Watching the support race was highly entertaining as it was a Middle East series and they couldnt cope with the rain. One car spun in front of us every lap except the last when he got a great cheer! It had dried by the F1 race

I guess thats the same one they erected in the first year and presumably every year since. It was an impressive set up but we were very glad my wife was pregnant (early stages only) so instead of having to wait in their for 4 hours for our booked flight to Dubai thay put us on the first plane!Impressive..

Forecast for the circuit, says some rain during the day but since this is a night circuit and with the ambient temperature I'd say that will be burnt off by the time qualifying starts
Though Accuweather says there will be no rain.
