We may get an enforced break from him.
His father is saying he has been told he must serve his one-year military service term:

..hopefully the Russian army have some suitable induction/hazing lined up for him!

He won't be joining the army anytime soon. Read this article:

It's a negotiating tactic no doubt to get a good price from Gene to sell the team to Daddy. No junior = no sponorship = financial problems = worthless team.

"While military service is mandatory in Russia, with more than 250,000 men between the ages of 18 and 27 conscripted each year, many Russians get out of it through medical or educational exemptions. Some also simply ignore the summons or pay bribes."
..so that won't be a problem then......sadly.

Jeez.. not great for team harmony is it!! Damn nearly ran in to him The problem with the various Mazespin websites are they're focused only on spins... He's now largely moved on to actual barrier impacts and close calls with passing fellow drivers - I don't feel he's getting the recognition he deserves..

Regardless of whose bringing in the cash I'd be amazed if the team aren't way more behind Mick anyway. It won't be so much harmony as tolerance for the other driver... Every team in F1 is worth a minimum of £200m, as that's the price to form/enter a new one. Whether the team is worth more, or less, with Mazepin in is a different question.
