Although - he hasn't been quite as troublesome / bad as I expected (yet)

Tricky to cause trouble when you're not in the race..

He's capable of being an active yet pointless danger during quali, he does that. In the race he's an unpredictable moving chicane.

In F1 overall, he's a total fkwump.

I believe there have been other who have settled down though.

I am sure he will join suit.

Isn’t that the modern way? Just deny the facts, and your supporters will all join in the chorus of ‘fake news’. (I suspect he does have ‘supporters’ of some sort in Mother Russia.)

I feel sorry for Schumacher being stuck with that team mate.

Yep, genuinely thought, after the German was so outspoken regarding the team, that Ferrari would get him out of there, to the spare seat at Sauber alongside Bottas.

Given how many 'good' drivers there are waiting in the wings for a seat, so am I.

I know he brings a lot of cash with him... But surely!?

No Mazepin, no tenth team in F1. Gene Haas was about to walk and no one was willing to buy - taking the Mazepin dollar was about the only option I expect.

2022 is a critical year for Haas, Gene's been threatening to pull out for a few years so if they aren't competitive I think he'll pull the plug and sell.

Haas had a lucky few years at the start with McLaren/Honda having problems, and teams like Sauber, Williams and Force India being run by people who could barely afford to race.

I think he's said he isn't in F1 to win championships, he just wants to competitive and to advertise Haas Automation.

And the likely buyer will be Mr. Dmitry Mazepin.

If everyone in here could just calm down a moment...

I know we all want Nikita back in F1 ASAP for his impeccable character and exceptional driving skills.

Good news from the BBC:

BBC said:
Russian racing driver Nikita Mazepin has begun High Court action against Foreign Secretary James Cleverly to get British sanctions against him lifted.

Mazepin and his father Dmitry were sanctioned by the UK, Canada and European Union in March 2022 following Russia's invasion of Ukraine.

Billionaire businessman Dmitry Mazepin was deemed a close associate of Russian president Vladimir Putin.

Mazepin was also sacked by Formula 1 team Haas as a result of the invasion.

Neither Mazepin nor his father were at the hearing.

His lawyer Rachel Scott said Mazepin wanted his challenge heard as a matter of "urgency" because of the need hold talks with prospective race teams for the 2024 season.
Hearing in June. I'm sure the teams have everything on hold with their driver contracts until they know whether or not Nikita will be available.
