So with a week to testing and three weeks until the first race has anyone seen any deals yet or are they keeping them up their sleeves until nearer the first race?

I'm interested in NowTV passes if anyone sees anything (missed out by a day last year! )

From memory they tend to offer 9 months for about £150 in the week or two leading up to the first race.

Last season I said I would not get a NowTV pass, but I relented at the last minute.
I’ve told everyone that I definitely absolutely will not get a pass this year.
But I’m getting excited for the season now. Must stay strong.

I doubt NowTV will offer a pass this year, they had heavy refunds on the passes last year, as there was no racing from March to July, a lot of people claimed the refunds.

Went to sign up with NowTV last night and the best I could find was £33 a month. I got a much better deal last year and refuse to pay that price.

I'm sure there will be an offer soon, but for now it looks like I'll be watching the C4 highlights this season.

I found the same. The £25 a month offer was (I think) for 6 months, then I checked a few days ago and it was for 3 months and as of today it's gone back to the usual £33 a month price.

You'd think if they were going to do an all season bundle they would have started it before testing

I was waiting until tomorrow to do the £25 a month for 3 months as it meant that the final pass would run out the day after the Abu Dhabi race.

Very disappointed with the lack of decent offers this year, I guess NOW TV know that they are the only show in town if you don't want Sky so don't feel the need to discount.

I was paying the 33 per month as I also watch nfl, so just tried cancelling and got offered a cheap 3 month deal, i think its 19.99 per month, seemed daft not to accept.

Weird isn't it, I too am a big NFL fan and cancelled earlier in the year. Wasn't given any offer to stay at all.

I used this site last year several times.

Late summer I got a deal direct from NowTV, I think it was £25 a month for 3 months. At the end of the 3 months I went to cancel saying I couldn't afford it, immediately offered 3 months at £19.95.

They have offered the same deal the last two times I've gone to cancel!

It’s so rubbish for people just wanting F1 without all the other sports in the U.K. at the moment.

I can’t wait for F1 tv to arrive in the U.K. looks like sky have it until 2024 though.

Sky TV uk made up 1/3rd of FOM/Liberty total income last year, normally 1/6th....

I don’t think even Liberty would go steaming alone, they would need to sell 2.5 million subscriptions at £100 a head, to get close what sky pay them.

I have sky and f1 tv (it’s great for the onboards), it’s not that difficult to get..

You can get Sky Sports mobile tv, for 11£ per calendar month (no contract).

At £33/month it's poor value to me, and I have no desire to watch on a tablet when last year I was able to watch on a big screen TV.

I dare say I could mess around with VPNs, or do something with my Raspberry Pis to get the F1 TV paid-for feed onto my TV, but if I'm going to do that then it's a very short step to setting up a kodi box or similar and cutting Liberty completely out of the picture. I won't do that, but plenty of people will do.

If I can't get the races for a sensible price (to me, YMMV), then the only option is C4 highlights. The real F1 fanatics will pay whatever is necessary to watch, but the non-hardcore fans will just drift away.

Even some fairly hardcore ones (I'll not miss a session over the course of a season normally) will drift away, like you I don't consider £33 a month any kind of value but luckily Now TV allow more than one device to view at the same time so I split the cost with a couple of friends, paying £12 a month each including the HD Boost.
This is a much more realistic price and if it was priced at that level for everyone then I bet there would be a lot less Kodi boxes out there and probably more money made overall!

That said though, at least we're able to watch F1 on a designated channel at a regular time - my real motorsport passion is rallying, but I've completely gone away from the WRC simply because it's impossible to know when and where coverage is going to be shown.

There is a difficult balance for a lot of people.

I think we all know the next few years we are going to be fleeced for tax to pay for lockdown, so things like paid sport will become a very tough ask for lots of people.

I am one of those whom refuses to pay for sport on tv, I have numerous ways f finding it, and I have no issue whatsoever doing so, when a sport run, taken part in and paid for largely by sponsors wants people to pay vast sums to watch it just because someone (bernie) decided it had to be a paid for by fans
to watch sport, not for ANY other reason. I am sorry to admit it, but my conscience is very clear, and my wallet is fuller sorry.

I’d happily pay for F1 as a stand alone sky app or channel on the q box. It’s having to pay for the entire sports package or now tv that’s a bit pants.

I’ve been watching F1 since the 80s but these last 2 seasons I’ve cancelled the sky sports package. Having sky and netflix plus Amazon etc one had to go and sky sports was the worst value.

I read somewhere that Liberty Media want to go streaming service only but the Sky contract runs until about 2024 as arranged with Bernie, so come then expect things to change probably for all F1 services. That will p1ss me off big-time if I can't record Friday sessions while I'm at work.
