It’s Crofty and co but F1 tv don’t show the bits where they cut away to Ted or Sky pad.

You can watch live or delayed. (If you delayed it’s 22£ pa) point your vpn at the USA after the session has finished.
Thanks for that great reply.

On the points above. What is there to watch before and after races? Any build up stuff/interviews etc?

If I paid the full £60 PA (or whatever it is) I assume I can watch live or delayed? So if I miss the start by 10 mins I can just watch 10 mins behind?
I have just signed up for the F1 TV Pro package, accessed via Mullvad VPN at 5 euros per month.

Pretty easy to do - sign up via the app on your phone, and pay via google (which means you don't have to provide any card country details). Once a subscription is setup, you can then access on your computer or preferred device. The Mullvad app is VPN app is excellent too making it super easy to turn off/on.

I have checked the speed via Mullvad VPN and it is about 90-95% of my normal broadband speed, so absolutely fine for streaming in HD.

Based on qualifying from yesterday, you don't seem to get the Sky build up or post race discussion. Personally, that's no loss for me.

You can start the stream from the beginning, whenever you like, so you can watch it with a time delay without an issue.

Personally, I have decided to cancel Sky - their pricing strategy of using cheap introductory deals, and then switching to the rack-rate after the contract period, relying on their customer's lethargy to forget to renegotiate a new deal annoys me. So I also have purchased a Nvidia Shield which is a neat streaming device for apps like Netflix, Iplayer etc.

I have Sky F1, it works for me and I'm happy with what I pay.

I did buy the F1TV £20 UK subscription however when it was on offer for £15 the other week. I have to be honest I have no idea what I've bought or what I get for it!

There’s two apps to download,

F1 tv

https://apps.apple.com/gb/app/f1-tv/id1315007279

F1 app

https://apps.apple.com/gb/app/formula-1/id83502259...

F1 tv will give you all highlights and a large back catalogue of past races, on demand.

Point a VPN at the states and you get all sessions (world feed, pit lane channel, all on boards) when they have finished, controversial incident? Watch over and over from all the angles/on boards, and flick between the feeds, there’s also a new tech show with special guests, this week they added Scarbs and Albert Fabrega.

F1 app, live timing with 5 live commentary, this can also be replayed.

£28 per month just for F1? no thanks
Assuming (like me) that you're UK based and have no other sky-style TV this is the cheapest (legal) way of watching F1 - I figure a lot of people go to the pub and spend that in an evening on beer without even thinking about it - I have no interest in that so pay for F1 instead lol
And it’s £28 per k ml both for access to the full sky sport package. I’m usually not interested in anything else but I’ll be trying to make the most of my £28 sub.

Patience paid - I got the £19.99 per month (for three months) offer on Friday. It'll expire on the British GP weekend.

I do like the 5Live broadcast team way more than C4 or Sky. The 5Live coverage of friday free practice is becoming my favourite part of the weekend with its balance of catch-up F1 news, good natured banter and decent insight into what is going on.

Still need a non-UK address and if paying by card the card needs registered in the country you VPN to.

I pay £6.99 per month for the full f1 tv access, including previous races etc. Plus I use a VPN via Mullvad which costs 5 euros per month.

You sign up via the F1 tv pro app on your phone, and pay via google pay. Google doesn't share your card address details with the app, so it doesn't matter if the registered address for the credit card country does match the VPN country (as it doesn't match in my case). I then just set my "home" country to be Sweden in the app (country chosen at random) and I just ensure the VPN is connected to that country when I access the content.

Streams in full HD. No issues. In fact I think the picture quality is better than Sky (but that is just my perception - I've not checked).

You don't get the Sky pre-race or post race analysis - most of that is poor quality imho so I didn't used to watch it anyway. And most of the interesting stuff gets uploaded either onto Youtube or the Sky F1 website anyway.

NowTV doing my head in yesterday.
Paused the show before the race start for lunch and went to resume afterwards to find it had timed out and disconnected.
If I could load it up again and resume from the start I'd say it's one of those things, but with streaming services being the way they are these days, the fact there was no way of watching the race from the start until they uploaded the on demand show at 9pm just seems archaic.

Yeah, I think they did some kind of software "upgrade". They had lots of compliants. Hopefully it is better this week.
