Any advice on how to pay for F1 TV warmly received
Ive successfully moved to the USA with the help of my VPN, created an account and selected the correct subscription however its got the hump as my card details are clearly in the UK. Paypal would be good but its not an option
How have you lot paid?
Cheers
Do not pay for F1TV via the F1 website. Use your VPN and the F1TV app on a smartphone or tablet and pay via Apple Pay / Google Wallet (depending on the device). The currency will still display in £, but the country details are not passed on if you use Apple Pay / Google Wallet.Ive successfully moved to the USA with the help of my VPN, created an account and selected the correct subscription however its got the hump as my card details are clearly in the UK. After you’ve subscribed via the App you will be able to use the same login on the website and it will still work so long as you remember to set your VPN before accessing the site, otherwise you will get the UK non-streaming site.

Think it's safe to say C4 have no clue how to handle the revised format, having totally glossed over the qualifying for the actual race.
Guess someone either didn't understand or didn't want to change their scheduling and pretended it was the old sprint format.
From what i can gather, based on time constraints, it appears on the "sprint" weekends C4 will dedicate Saturday to covering the sprint event highlights, whilst the Sunday show will cover the main race as usual but feature an overview of the qualification before hand.Guess someone either didn't understand or didn't want to change their scheduling and pretended it was the old sprint format.

Tbh the entire C4 F1 project has been useless - not because the C4 team and producers can't make good output, but because their hands are endlessly tied. Just watch each session live on F1TV, it's literally made for the job of following F1...
Yeah worked fine for me last race too. I'm in Spa this weekend so won't be using it.

Yeah you'll be fine in a supported country not going through VPN.
Other options still working are using a VPS and setting up your own personal VPN. But that's considerably more work.
Cheers. I guess it's back to shelling out for NowTv for the remainder of the season then. I loved F1TV though because I didn't have to watch live and could pause it. Now TV far more expensive and far less function. It's a hard sport to love sometimes. Other options still working are using a VPS and setting up your own personal VPN. Oh, well. It was good while it lasted. Thank God that Channel 4 recently renewed their highlights deal until 2026.
To be honest though my interest has been waning over the last few months anyway.
It's their loss - I'd paid the £60 odd to get the yearly subscrition, so I've now got no need to renew it when it expires, so that's money that F1 will no longer be getting.
I'm not going to go back to Sky, and am happy to just watch highlights from now on. That was all that was available when I started regularly watching F1 in the mid-80's anyway.

Sounds like Sky have sent F1 their list of VPN providers’ IP addresses, and a not-very-polite letter from their lawyer to do something about it.
Tbf a massive piss take by F1, as if they didn't know they were doing the bare minimum and must have had tens of thousands of subscribers outside of permitted regions..Anyway, time for a dedicated IP VPN me thinks. I don't see how that can be picked up unless I'm missing something..?
