Man, these pretentious, overdramatic F1 launches for a car that is basically the same as last year.

I can' help but feel these are more for the sponsors, PR and marketing team to justify their expenditure.
Well of course, that’s the point of them!

Exactly what I was thinking, if it was upto just the teams they would probably just rock up at testing.

The cars don’t even necessarily look much like what turns up at testing (Cough. Racing Point. Cough.), the launches are run by the commercial department, to show off and give some materials to their existing sponsors, and to help attract/persuade/confirm a few others in the coming weeks before the season starts.

Yes, but I wonder if it actually adds measurable value to the F1 teams operation.

As someone who works in marketing and PR, it just seems like they are created and planned by people in bullst jobs to create commercial awareness towards other people who also work in bullst jobs. The only benefit being to show something for their efforts and justify their job and ask for a budget increase next year for a flashier display as YouTube views and retweets were up 10% this year.

I like the Alfa- something new going on with its nose I think. Also thinner than last year's car.

Really small, aggressive side pods on the Alfa?

Looking forward to seeing the RB16B tomorrow. Has anyone seen a time for the launch? All I can see on their social media is 23/02

No special testing camo livery. 100% less Aston Martin logos hehe

Anyone think there's going to be any surprises anywhere?

Pink to Green for Aston and that's it?

Suspect the pink will appear else where, was rumoured to be HAAS but a few people have said no.

Might be an optical illusion, but that seems to be a lower rake than previously.

Just seen a comparison pic, its literally just the replacement of Aston Martin with Honda.

Also Perez's sponsors he brought over with him (Telcel and Claro)

Other than the mandated by regs changes I hope!

Actually for RB less change is probably a good thing. They might finally be about to start a season where they don't have to spend the first half 'getting on top' their new car.

The radius on the tyre shoulder looks significantly larger this year, is this representative of the new construction Pirellis? Seems like a change which could have as great an impact as the lopped off aero bits...

At least two established F1 analysts struggled with the Red Bull, posting pictures of last years car under the new car’s name. I wondered why Aston Martin was still on the car for all of three seconds.
