Someone should tell him health care and schooling are free in the UK
Off topic. But they are not free!
The point struck me too. Gave the impression he knew nothing about his workforce as none of them are likely paying any medical bills.
Perhaps private healthcare is included in the job?
In which case they're not worrying about paying medical bills.

Like the series but faking the radio messages to create a fake drama is a bit vomit inducing.

Eg Norris episode "what's he doing he just turned in on me!" about Sainz was from an incident with Stroll

Sebs "Mein gott muss da sein" was from a different year

And lots more..
Good knowledge.

Didn't clock the Seb one but knew the Norris/Sainz one wasn't how I remembered it.

Most of his business is outside UK where medical costs are a burden at the back of peoples minds constantly.

It should make you realise how fortunate we are, even if the tax we pay as a result is higher, its nothing compared to the destruction an illness can bring to many in other advanced countries.

It's actually a great removal of power from bad employers to not have the worry of losing medical coverage if you lose your job.

Well its certainly doing its job of bringing in fresh blood, hello and welcome.

As you've noted the sport is run by tyranical, narcissistic, psychopathic scoundrels. Twas ever thus, See enzo, frank, bernie, jean, colin, max, etc etc etc. Formula101.

I'd hoped they had stopped doing this. I didn't finish either of the previous seasons because of this kind of nonsense. Was there not enough drama in last season as it was?
How about the 'Michael Bay' sound effects, have they at least been toned down?

And reading a bit more, they seemed to have missed out covering Honda leaving F1, and Williams, and Russel in the Mercedes? Huge misses there.
you'll hate it.

I've met Horner, I like him. I won't elaborate much more than that but he's my type of manager. Toto, I like him but I can't help thinking he comes across a little strange in these. He certainly minces about the place doesn't he?!

I agree this series missed so much but I do think there's something to do with Hamilton and his image that means he's not included much in it.

Their fixation with Haas and Ricciardo spoil it a bit-no idea why unless it's the opposite of Hamilton and they simply get good access there.

By the way, on attracting the casual or new viewer I've lost count of the amount of people I know who have gotten back into F1 simply down to DTS.
I think Toto is the Jurgen Klopp of F1, the nice act is what everyone sees because they're winning, the moment things start going south he'll change very quickly.

Ricciardo and Haas had the right idea from series 1 in giving Netflix as much access as they wanted, and it's paid off with the fact they're still keen to follow their stories in series 2 and 3 also. It's boosted both parties profiles to the casual/none F1 fans

Bit of a silly program really. If an episode was made and show a week after the race and period it depicts it would make sense.
I think its tv for people struggling with retaining information or needing excessive manufactured drama to pay attention.
The actual racing season must be a giant letdown of struggling bewilderdly to understand whats going on.
Otherwise its ok lol.

"I felt very vulnerable at that moment"

As Grosjean burns alive.

Remarkable he can make that incident about himself.
I can’t help but feel that comment might be a bit fabricated as in he said that after the initial questions/reactions about the incident. I’m not a fan of Hamilton and his ego but I can’t see him ignoring the seriousness of Grosjean and instantly talking about himself.

Also people need to remember that this is an entertainment show. Things will be dramatized for the masses, kinda like Top Gear - entertainment with a car theme.

He isn't doing the high speed oval races. Don't blame him either, they are far more dangerous than most circuit racing.

Grosjean is a bit of a weird one, really likeable as a person, quite a good driver, was head of GP drivers safety thing yet has times of being utterly reckless on track both for himself and other drivers safety. The Bahrain accident was awful but fully fully his own fault with how he cut across Kvyat without realising he was there.

His spin in Spain 2018 was another one, span on his own then instead of braking like a normal person, smashed the throttle wide open, created a smokescreen, drove back on track and took out a Renault.

Anyone else notice how all the Ferrari staff have red tape on their sleeve? I wonder which sponsor they fell out with?

I wonder if the new Williams owners changed the decision about them having so much access to the team? All series there's been just a few quick talking head bits from Claire Williams and nothing else.

Yes I know how fortunate we are, I'd never want to live in such ste country as the US, the way it treats its poor is a scandal.

But LS should know we have the NHS and virtually no British workers worry about medical bills, unless they're trying to raise 500k for experimental cancer treatment in the land of the free.

He just comes across as having no idea how that factory ticks.

I can just about separate the driver from the personality.

He great to watch on the track, god like in the wet but the minute I hear him speak I want to rip my own ears off.

It was notable to me that the whole BLM thing, which was massive throughout the season occupied about 2 mins at the end of episode 10.

And was all the better for it.
