Yep! This new commentator on F1 is just awful. Probably worse then Jonathan Legard and that takes some doing!

Same. It's kind of fascinating actually to see the reaction from people that have heard him before vs. not. I prefer him to Croft too. And I thought Ben Edwards struggled to get words out, so Alex is again better.

I prefer him to Ben Edwards and Crofty. Ben Edwards, while clearly knowledgeable used to sometimes make some weird noises and his voice used to break or strain far too often.

I quite enjoy Jack Nicholls on 5 Live and Formula E. My personal favourite is David Addison, he does a great job on the BTCC and has been a good circuit commentator for F1 at Silverstone.

I often thought that about Ben Edwards, compared to his style before F1, there was something forced about the way he would try to sound excited. Similar to David Croft really.

After cancelling sky recently, partly because of Croft I watched the C4 coverage, everyone was a breath of fresh air compared to sky including Jacques, knowledgeable and only loud if things actually got exciting, no regrets.

I think he's fine, C4 commentary is often better than Sky's. Crofty has ruined it and all the highlights and recaps of the great moments as they always use Sky's commentary.

I think him and a few others had to self isolate because Billy monger got covid. Which is why there's new commentary on C4 and for the F3.
