I had my second jab weeks ago. Today I registered with the NHS app to check its on record. I assume that is what they will want as proof, at least for UK residents.

Yeah, the Silverstone site says it's either or:

Silverstone said:
We can confirm at this stage that ticket holders will be asked for either proof of a negative lateral flow test taken within 48 hours of arrival at Silverstone. Or, proof of full vaccination, the second dose having been received at least 14 days prior to the first day of attending the British Grand Prix.
So if you arrive for camping on say Thursday night having done a LFT on Thursday would this still be valid for Sunday or would you have to do another one?

Hope I am not breaking any rules here, but I am selling my Vale grandstand 3-day ticket if anyone is looking for one. It's listed here on PH in the miscellaneous section.

Email from Woodlands Campsite:

"Following last weeks’ announcement from the Prime Minister and Silverstone’s announcement that the British Grand Prix has been granted Pilot Event Status, we have been working behind the scenes to clarify how this affects us all at Woodlands.

We can now confirm that Woodlands will be opening to accommodate campers this year but, despite lengthy discussions with Silverstone, it has not been possible to include us within the boundary for the Pilot Event. We will therefore be providing camping in line with the latest Government COVID guidance, meaning we can host you all but we are not permitted to provide our usual large-scale live entertainment, as we’ve been advised this would classify us as an ‘outdoor event’, rather than just a ‘campsite’.

All is not lost - we will still have large, seated areas with all the great food and bars you’ve been used to. Our big tops and structures are already booked & paid for and will be used as large, covered spaces. The campsite shops will also be open.

We recognise how close the whole event has come to being cancelled for fans again this year and we have done everything we can just to be able to open in this way. We would like to thank Silverstone, our local authorities and MPs for their tireless work to make it possible for fans to attend this years’ race and, whilst this year will certainly be different, we are grateful and glad to be able to open at all, especially at such short notice.

We will be contacting all bookers with detailed arrival instructions. Please read these instructions carefully to help us process you as quickly as possible when you arrive.

We understand that, as a result of these changes, some of you may not feel comfortable attending the event this year. If this is the case don’t worry, we will be in touch shortly with details on how to claim a refund. We would like to ask that you please bear with us at this incredibly busy time and only contact us where absolutely necessary.

We can’t wait to see you on-site this year and are already looking forward to Woodlands being back with a bang in 2022.

Much love,

Team Woodlands x"

Just sent off for the proof of vaccination letters for myself and my dad (letters rather than NHS app just to make things simpler for him)

Looking good for full capacity and no face masks in the event, cant wait.

Didn't book a campsite when I bought the tickets in 2019 but I imagine the queues to enter will be epic as they check everyone's test/vacpas.

I am truly staggered by how much money people re prepared to pay to see an F1 race, it genuinely amazes me.
I used to do the weekend. Can't remember what I used to paid but the last time I went it began with a "3". I stopped going when one year they upped the price just shy of 20%.

The last couple years I went I sat at Club Corner. Then they decided to split the Club grandstand into 4/5 sections and the section I sat in was the most expensive. So I voted with my feet.

I checked the price for that area for this year. £555. WTAF

Saying this, everyone should experience a Silverstone GP weekend.

Just remember to pack suncream, rainjacket, umbrellayes

Yes, that was me. It sold on the bay of the E yesterday. I took a quick sale at cost price, I think I probably could have made more but there was a solid offer from someone who paid immediately, so all good. I am gutted I am not going to be attending.

So do we think Silverstone will be a Red Bull or Merc track ?

In the past I would say Merc, but the hanger straight with RB's speed advantage ?

Could be a real epic.

But does that mean you'll be seeing Reginald instead?

FFS !!!!!

I paid in 2019 for vale, and it was less than half that.

Looking like a blinder with the way things are shaping up this year, can't wait.
