That was one hell of a lap from the Dutchman, bodes well for qualifying.
Redbull on soft tires is just on another league. Can't see Merc doing anything in the next few races against it.
I expect most of the race will be run on the mediums, so I'd expect the Mercs to be much closer to the Red Bull pace on those.

If they did the cut between 10 and 12 it would create a better stopping and passing oportunity. The rest of the track long fast corners and a waste.
What if they just cut the entire circuit? scratchchin
That’s not a bad idea at all smile

I had a great thought of how to fix france. On the racing line of one corner have that super abrasive red stripping for a patch. You can go faster but have to balance that out with big tyre wear.

Tsunoda to start last then, if he can’t get it back. Schoolboy error on cold tyres.

Gasly's on it again this weekend, isn't he?

Very impressive.

Phew, Mercedes do actually have the pace. Was a little worried for a few minutes there.

Stroll’s not going to be best friends with young Mick Schumacher tonight.

Was on a blinding lap before Schumacher binned it, but was in 15th, so safe - phew!

Drags out the best bit of the weekend..

Quite impressive to find a barrier to hit at Paul Ricard too.

Wouldn't have made a difference if they let the session finish would have been double waved yellows no body would have improved at least with the red they get more time to clear the track

Those past the yellow zone could have continued their lap, it's getting silly when you throw a red when a yellow would cover it.

Lots of medium tyres out there. Mercedes, RB, Ferrari, Mclaren, Gasly and Giovannazzi.

Could be a fun session, chance of Russell squeaking through on the softs?

Bottas faster than Hamilton in all sessions so far -- looks like one chassis is better than the other then.
