All correct.
The French know the "race" is a joke but it doesn't really matter, as Paul Ricard is part of the social calender.
For the actual "race" our favourite area is La Pinede which has good atmopshere and our local grape specialists are generous with hospitality.
It's a more laid back affair compared with Monaco, think Sade gig compared to AC/DC.
After the "race" more partying continues back down the hill in Toulon.
Sprinkler system during the race could be a distraction from the festivities though
There’s already one race, in what’s basically France, that’s the social event and a crap race. It happened four weeks ago. The French know the "race" is a joke but it doesn't really matter, as Paul Ricard is part of the social calender.

Maybe they can make this one actually a good race. On the with sprinklers!
In Monaco's favour is qualifying - which remains the greatest single challenge in the F1 calender.
Perhaps the sprinklers should be reserved for Sundays only in MC and PR ?

Forgive the rough PhotoShopping, but why don't they just... oh I don't know, do this?:
Keep the blue abrasive run off and just paint the bare bits in between to match?

I seem to remember after the last race here someone posted a picture with the run-off painted to look like grass. That was infinitely better than the current hypno stripes.

It will be good to see where the teams are without the bendy wings and variable tyre pressures.
Do we know what's happening with the extra bendy front wing on Mercedes ?New FIA front wing bendy tests ?
Oh, and Windbag

Windbag ? Is that Horner or Wolff ?
Horner. So Wolff wasn't a windbag at the RB rear wing ?
No double standards around here then
I'd take from that that Toto had a fair and realistic basis on which to threaten to protest the RB wing, whereas Horner was just being a windbag in trying to find something to complain about in return.
If you're really in doubt... It's Red Bull, of course their TP is a windbag! If he wasn't he wouldn't have the job!

is the Merc front wing actually flexing more than the others?
Horner claimed it was but didn't have the bks to protest it. Nor did he have the stones to run the bendy rear wing at Baku.Gassing Station | Formula 1 | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
