We could use a Gasly extra stop for Russell to get 10th

How have Redbull made a minute difference in a season.

Max is going to finish probably 30 seconds up the road from the next merc. Last year he finished 30ish behind Lewis.

Mind boggling
Reg changes/new engine/ new fuel/ more in season development

I can't see Russell holding on to this. What is the tyre life for him and Alonso?
Not sure, I think he might do it. Either way, what an improvement from Williams!

For once the reason for that is Mercedes not doing a good enough job. The question can be asked whether they've been arrogant enough to think they didn't have to put that much work into this years car to maintain their advantage and put all focus into next year's car and as a result Red Bull have caught them off guard?

Even at the end of last season the Red Bull was all but as quick as the Mercedes so them being faster now shouldn't really be the shock that it is.
That's all fair enough. I'm just disappoined, as a racing fan. I was loving this season but now, at the front at least, the excitement is totally gone. If Merc are unable to compete at Silverstone, I think it's curtains as far as having an interesting and competitive fight for the title goes, and that's a real letdown after such an exciting start to the season.

Silverstone should be close, Merc is still outstanding in high speed aero.

When Mercedes and Hamilton are basically unstoppable for 7 years it's because they're just that good.

Max wins 5 races and people are all "I'm not saying that it's suspicious, but it looks suspicious to me", casting aspersions, etc and talking about F1 being stale.

Just lol.
100% this. Depressing thing is, it's not really a shock either.
I think it is because the turnaround was so dramatic and so fast. We were having what looked like it would be a classic season, with the two best drivers slugging it out in closerly matched equipment.

What we have now is a long way from that, and it is starting to look like it could be a dull season up front.
This is after 7 years of Merc dominance and Hamilton virtue signalling. Try enjoying it.

Hamilton delivers RHETORIC.

And you've fallen for it hehe
Should we ignore the 7 WDCs, 7 WCCs and nearly 100 race wins he has also delivered, not forgetting the 100 or so pole positions he has also delivered?

That is a lot more than mere rhetoric!
There is, a very good car.
