The next best outcome for the sport other than Lewis winning fairly is for max to smash into Lewis and have some points deducted. You can’t allow his sort of “racing” to go on unless you want it to turn into bumper cars next season.

All of the other drivers are just as hungry as him so if he’s at it they will be joining in as well.

Norris has already said he’s going to break check leclerc so he can beat him in the wdc. Obvs tongue in cheek but still the precedent has been set.

You really can't see the difference between many incidents over many years and one incident, many years ago, can you? You're kind of the thread version of this:

Guess you’re new to sport. You might be better with tiddlywinks.

Yes, poppet, I've only been attending races for 40 years.

All that time, and you are still so naive. Shame. What on earth are you going to to ‘poppet’ if MV takes the title. Will it be a full weeks mourning, or something more profound?

Earlier you labelled Horner a cheat, over many years. Is 12 seasons outside of this period? Is it ok for LH to act this way when he was young, but not MV? Like I said, short memories and a super fans.

Desperate, you are.
Lewis had done 4 seasons less than Max has now done and his one really bad decision came off track under pressure from a senior team manager who was fired as a result.

No doubt Lewis learned a lesson from that.

If only we could say the same about Max being a clean driver and learning lessons. Not likely based on todays comments.

Agreed.

Clearly, the FIA needs to put a stop to the sort of clumsy nonsense Max has made his MO. I hope he doesn't resort to it yet again on Sunday, but if he does, a line has to finally be drawn. Aside from anything else, it will sooner or later result in injury, either to Max himself or another driver.

Like it has been said a few times, if Max wins the title fairly then I can live with that but if he punts Lewis off deliberately he should be docked sufficient points to ensure he loses the championship.
Happy?

There is more chance of a Haas winning this weekend than Max getting points deducted when / if he rams Lewis into the car park.

Nobody can say what MV will evolve into. LH was a tempestuous little st back in the day, but age has knocked the edges off of him, as it does all of us.

Isn't it odd that Max's biggest apologist assumes anyone who criticises Max / Horner / RB is a massive Hamilton fan.

Is it projection?

No, he wasn’t. Lewis has definitely matured but he was never anything like Max is now. Did Lewis have some tension with Alonso and Nico? Yes, but there was never the dangerous, petulant behaviour of Max. The rivalries were tense and, at times, openly aggressive, with both sides playing their part. Max is just a danger to all around and a dirty racer.

Max is a chip off the old block. Aggressive...

Andddddd - in this one, Jos described the proceedings as 'excessive'! Sound familiar?

Paulguitar is a LH superfan. Go check for yourself. Fact, not projection.

I've followed the career of Lewis since he was in cadet karts, so definitely appreciated for many years seeing what we've been lucky enough to witness since then. Having said that, in the past I supported Lauda, Hakkinen, and others.

My objection to Max's clumsiness and lack of racing subtlety is really has nothing to do with Hamilton, or anyone else. If he continues with his buffoonery once Lewis has retired I am sure I will be of the same view.

IMO, your objection is because now there is a genuine challenger, and his 'style' doesn't fit your specific needs you're not happy.

I object to his repeated ignorance of racing rules, established over decades. He's a goon, unsophisticated, and (to date) not learning.

Hamilton has little to do with it. If Max hasn't improved his wheel-to-wheel skills when Lewis has retired, I will have exactly the same objections.

A man head to head about to claim the F1 Championship. A 'goon' not 'learned'...are you mental?
