Honda, the ones you can rely on to ps off twice a decade.

No idea, but managed to secure a package consisting of 5 nights at Atlantis, tickets for practice day, qualifying and race day (Yas Marina) along with grandstand passes, return flights from Heathrow for less than £1,500.00.

Can't wait, will be epic smile Never been to a F1 race before
That will be quite the trip, but I'd forego practise day and go to saffron for brunch in the Atlantis instead.

I backed MV for the title at the start of the year @3/1. It was looking good until Brazil. Now I think Lewis will do it.

It's still by far Max's to lose. Lewis has to win the last two races. Max can take it easier. That will help with the walls in Jeddah - Max only needs 2nd in the race which means he can qualify almost anywhere he likes; nobody will get in his way as was proved last week, even Alonso didn't put up much of a fight.

I don't think we will be bothering with practice or qualifying to be honest as intend as you say to go to the brunch one day, and then intend to play at least one round of golf whilst out there.

I'm a big Lewis fan, but I can see that another WDC and WCC would be very good for the sport and would probably fire Lewis up even more for 2022.

However, if someone other than lewis / Merc is going to win either championship, I don't want it to be Max or Red Bull - I just don't like the way they go about their business. My favourite from the rest of the field would have been Llando.

So for me, it has to be Lewis and Mercedes purely to see the look on Whinger Spice's face

The Saffron brunch is very good - from what I remember of it, which isn’t much. Four hours of a free bar does that to you. beer

Also be aware that you’re about 75 minutes by taxi from the circuit - but the taxi only costs £45, and the driver will be over the moon with the fare. Don’t use the hotel car or Uber, they’re way more expensive.

for a normal day maybe, but for race day that's poor advice. i'd also wager Hobo would rather spend an extra £20 for an uber so he doesn't have to sit in a smelly camry [@hobo all dubai ubers are lexus, honda odyssey or similar].

whoever you use to get you to yas, take note of how close you can get to your grandstand entrance and arrange with the driver to meet you there for the return journey, or at the entrance du arena if you are staying for the foos. take his mobile number as traffic for him to return will be murder, better for him to whatsapp you his location and walk there rather than you trying to work out where he is. chances of hailing any form of ride home are similar to bottas' chances of taking the win.

as for the OP, ham for my money. its the raciest he's looked all season. bit between the teeth, recent run of car form and a new track in the mix. he's also far less bothered by the hubris around rb/merc whereas vers has never been at the pointy end of a championship race before.

Okay, I started a thread for those attending the Abu Dhabi GP, who want to discuss grandstands and logistics, and keep this thread on topic.

Who do I want to win? Max and RBR, not because I'm a fan, I'm actually Ferrari through and through but just because good to see somebody else win.

But I think Hamilton and Mercedes will get it. Again.. Be good to see somebody (Ferrari or Mclaren) come forward next season and take a lead.

Ditto. I'd love to see Honda get a constructors title before they bow out, but nothing can make me want Redbull to win anything the way they've been behaving.

As for who I think will win, I'm leaning towards Max/Redbull taking both - the WCC because Perez is out-performing Bottas now, and the WDC because I think Verstappen and Hamilton will come together causing a DNF for both of them in at least one of the remaining two races. Either championship could go either way on a single stroke of luck, though.

I want Lewis to win WDC because he deserves to eclipse Schumacher as the ‘winningest’ of all time imho.

But if Verstappen makes it, I’ll not shed a tear. His consistency and speed has been amazing all year.
RB are not my favourite team (especially because of their horrible principals), but the RB soldiers, and of course Honda in their final year, have been top notch.

WDC = Max
WCC = Red Bull

Max is ahead and has a cushion by which he can afford a couple of small trip-ups. Lewis has to be nigh on perfect every step to the end. The odds are that that won't happen.

I would have said Mercedes for the WCC but seeing Bottas recently, I think Perez will do his job and bring home a few more points... so, Red Bull.

WDC - Verstappen

Mercedes have found some speed but it's been a roller-coaster in terms of form.

WCC - Mercedes

I can't see Perez consistently delivering the third places he realistically needs to achieve.
I hate being right.

Max, because of a gift from Masi.
