Who’s attending the last race of the season?

Starting this as a social and information thread, having made comments and responses on the subject in several other threads, and being aware that people are travelling here for the race.

Mods, feel free to move and link back, if that’s more appropriate.

I am a UAE resident, in Dubai. I’ve been to the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix more often than not, since it started. Happy to answer any questions about the UAE and the event (I have no professional connection), and possibly get a few PHers together for a beer at some point over the weekend.

I’ll be in West Grandstand for the three days, maybe Thursday too if I can wrangle the day off work - if you have a three day ticket, you get a pit lane walk and a concert on Thursday.

I have been resident in Dubai since 2005 and went to the 1st 2 F1 races at Yas. I was at Yas for the 1st ever car event with our UAE touring car championship (we were the support races to the FIA GT1 championship) and ridden motorbikes around Yas at night under lights 3 times, which was a great experience.

Shall be watching the race at home.

I've been to pretty much every one since 2010, it's one of the best events in the UAE I think.

Unfortunately the COVID nonsense that is still in place there and has recently been re-introduced here in the UK means that this will be another one that I miss.
Doubly annoying for me as I had free accommodation in AUH as well !!
