Either way, we all agree it was Max's fault and he got the penalty he deserved, so not much to add to that really
Hands up who thinks Max "got the penalty he deserved."
The one that conveniently didn't cost him a thing hehe

They really taught him a lesson.

Indeed

Anyone who has raised kids knows thats no the way you do it. To deal with a spoilt brat you need material consequences

Max thinks it's unfair he is treated differently too - maybe the FIA should listen?

"At the end of the day, criticism, that's always there," Verstappen said. "But I think from my side, what is unfair [is] that I am treated differently to other drivers."

For the actual context...

https://www.motorsport.com/f1/news/verstappen-saud...

Apparently 2 other drivers did the same as Max last weekend.

For example Lewis - Other people do exactly the same thing and they get nothing, because both of us were off the track," Verstappen said. He seems to have forgotten what happened in Brazil very quickly.
That article is crap.

It offers no comment, insight or explanation. It's just a series of cut and paste quotes.

Such lazy, clickbait journalism.

It’s about the press conference/interviews, not much to do there apart from a few quotes really. Like most media these days they’ll publish loads of different articles on different bits of a weekend/season to get more advertising clicks, some being filler articles on a few quotes like this, others more in detail analysis.

Plus if you look at most of the comments by fans it doesn’t matter on how good an article is, they have their driver already and so will ignore/say an article is great depending who it supports.

Just a quick apology to whoever I offended on this thread.

I never expected my comment to be construed as racist or inciting hatred.

It seemed clearly a reference to "hammer time" and a word that sounds very similar to hammer, but describing an elderly female relative, who are perhaps notoriously slow drivers.
Perhaps Lewis's race engineer could deploy "elderly female relative time" when behind the safety car (or VSC whatever) crap pun maybe, but racist ? LOL REALLY?????

If I had for one second realised that a very common word for a female grandparent is racist I would not have wrote what I did. (For reference the spoken word is used in the multi BAFTA winning The Royal Family to describe Liz Smiths character through out.)

Anyway apology to whoever I offended, not a racist but kind of upset that people think this way, Nik.

(Perhaps mods its worth having a list of words that are considered racist, that don't have a racist connotation in normal usage but are banned from here, would perhaps be useful)
