Seems to be the case according to the beeb. The repercussions are going to be interesting if true.

I don't think Red Bull are that interested in Lance.

Aren't the 2026 regs about to be published? So seems like fortuitous timing for Ferrari, and brown trousers time for RB. Newey can probably name his price.

Right, in my mind that's pretty damning of RB and how this has been handled? Newey is now trying to seriously distance himself from the whole thing, and he would probably know a load more about what's happened than most of us?

I think this could have pretty major ramifications for the entire house of cards

No, no, no. Nothing to see here. Newey's move is merely coincidental.

Horner maybe.

Jos no - I see nothing that makes him want to be a TP. He just wants Horner gone.

RBR are really unravelling........so much for this being the storm in a teacup that some have claimed....

I think Newey might retire.

I certainly can't see him going into the sort of hands-on role that he had in the 90's/2000s.

He's 65 years old. Does he have the motivation to go somewhere new and do it all again?

Horner vs Marko and Thailand vs Austria it can't be a great place to work at his level of seniority, don't blame him for wanting out, he's too old for that nonsense, I would imagine Fred would be a better boss than the poundland bond villain at AM.

Designing the car that gave Lewis his 8th title and Ferrari their first in almost 20 years would be a great finish to a long career.

Article states he thinks he get out to mean working at another team in 25, so would be unexpected for him to retire.

Too late for that isn't it?

Certainly for 2025.

Could ace 2026 new rules though

The BBC article links Newey's decision directly to the Horner situation.

Maybe, that will convince the Thai major shareholder to dump Horner?

Who is more important to the team? Newey or Horner? Both have been instrumental to RB's success.
