Why this crappy track constantly gets a race is beyond me.
I’ll take a proper circuit every time over the pop-up Miami, Melbourne, Jeddah…
But they test the hell out of this place which is why it's boring. They need to spread the testing to other circuits and resurface Barcelona and re-profile a few corners to throw a spanner in the works and make it better for racing as teams have to start from scratch on Friday morning like they do with most tracks.

Looking at Sky TV Guide, F2 practice is scheduled for 16:05 Thursday, and Qualifying 10:35 Friday, on SSF1 channel.

An even closer look shows the Porsche Supercup race at 11:05 Sunday. That’s always fun at Monaco!

Is it?

I don't think I can remember many entertaining Porsche Supercup races, even on actual circuits.

The majority are bore fests even on a proper circuit as you said

If anyone's interested the Formula Renault (no, I can't be arsed with the full new title) sessions can be found live on their FB pages, for example;

I found this out just too late to watch qualifying this morning.

Oooopsie, Felipe.

Pushing so hard.

Can't see how drivers following Drugovich are going to keep their times?

...and that is what Schumacher's Monaco legacy has brought to the sport - Doohan immediately commenting on how convenient that was on the last lap, implying he had done it on purpose.

Sad.

Hughes getting it badly wrong - that's a big thump!

Hit kerb into the swimming pool and went airborne, with no chance after that. Fortunately uninjured and walked away.

That was spectacular!

He almost clipped the wing off on the left hander after the chicane!

Quite enjoyed that. It's good for the F2 guys to rehearse their later in life F1 shunts at Monaco smile

Not unsurprisingly, Lawson has lost his pole time.

Perhaps a little harshly, he has also been penalised 5 grid places.

Sorry - I should have posted when it actually started as well banghead

edit: it's all a bit daft as they didn't stop the clock during the red flag, so "lost" something like 13/14 minutes of racing....

Well, if you can't get a single overtake out of a small, lightweight, single-make race........

Just watched it back. Red flag was at 21’00”, green light at 9’12”, (so, nearly 12 mins as the stoppage), followed by two laps of safety car (don’t know why two laps, perhaps it’s in their sporting regs) and 4’40” of actual racing at the end.

Annoyingly, if they’d been about five seconds later with the red flag, the issue would have resolved itself! Can’t really complain that it was thrown though, the track was completely blocked and there were a dozen stationary cars.
