FR boys turning the hairpin into a car park & causing a red flag...
Thanks for the reminder it was on.

Sorry - I should have posted when it actually started as well banghead

edit: it's all a bit daft as they didn't stop the clock during the red flag, so "lost" something like 13/14 minutes of racing....

Well, if you can't get a single overtake out of a small, lightweight, single-make race........

Just watched it back. Red flag was at 21’00”, green light at 9’12”, (so, nearly 12 mins as the stoppage), followed by two laps of safety car (don’t know why two laps, perhaps it’s in their sporting regs) and 4’40” of actual racing at the end.

Annoyingly, if they’d been about five seconds later with the red flag, the issue would have resolved itself! Can’t really complain that it was thrown though, the track was completely blocked and there were a dozen stationary cars.
Don't really have a problem with the RF, but really dislike the way that support races are short-changed in support of the almighty god of F1 TV times, to the detriment of those series.....

Obviously still cleaning up the mess from the end of the previous session.

Hopefully not too long, am supposed to be in the pub watching a football match in a couple of hours.
Bouncing around viewing-wise; the delay means can finish watching British GT qualifying though. I am going to have to mis most of 1st half of European Rugby final, though. Swings and roundabouts.....

I know, plus actually up at Donington tomorrow, so going to have to find a way to fit all the recorded Monaco action in around Indy when I get back......Hmmmm....can there be such a thing as too much motorsport?

Drugovich...........wet tyres?

I've had a quick look at a rain radar, and there's nothing even due, let alone actually there.

Is he just breaking in a set for tomorrow?

Someone was always going to outbrake themselves at some point, and Hauger was as good a candidate as any. Now, what is it they say about safety cars breeding safety cars!
I don't know, what do they say? winkwink

Boschung just drove Williams into the wall - left him zero space and just shoved him when he was alongside.

Vips is doing himself very few favours this year - careless again.

Helmut Marko will not be impressed.

British 1-2-3 in W Series practice, and pretty close too.

1 CHA 1:56.696
2 PUL +0.031
3 POW +0.160
(can't find the rest of the standings, as the W Series website is a steaming pile of poo...)

See what quali brings this afternoon.

Would love to see Abbi Pulling get her first WS win this weekend.

She’s still my favourite as next lady into F2, unless Sophia Floersch can make it back from sportscars.
Be good to see Pulling and Powell really push Chadwick in the race. Agree Pulling certainly has the potential to be better than Chadwick at equivalent age / development, given she's 5 years younger / less experienced.

Very sorry, but my in internal 7 year old can't help but giggle a little every time the commentators say "Bolukbasi"

The same 7 year used to giggle when hearing the name of ski-jumper "Andreas wk"

This is how timed quali sessions should be - tyres a non-issue, just drivers working out how to go faster all by themselves, lap after lap.

No excuses.

Forget everything else - in the context of this series, Chadwick continues to be very impressive; consistent and completely in control.

No doubt Powell could have been faster, but kept losing laps. Not something that Chadwick suffered from after her first quick lap was lost - after that, never really looked threatened. Kimilainen fast but inconsistent.
