Wonder if he will go back to Alpine or maybe Haas?

Pity, but being on huge salary comes with certain expectations that he hasn’t delivered on. Just shows how serious McLaren are though.

The last two years have clearly shown he is not worth the amount of money he has been paid. I have no idea what his salary expectations are now, but I really can't imagine Haas are going to be prepared to pay it.

Would Alpine really take him back after the way he left last time? His only saving grace is I can't think of anyone else Alpine could put in the seat now that Alonso has left them in the lurch and Piastri is clearly driving for McLaren.

Mclarens middle east investors have seen the products they produce sell for 3-5x more than before ,so like the footy teams they own stupid money gets sprayed about like confetti.
Hope someone plants DR in another team. Hope he lays of the excessive boastfulness this time.
Piastrio has his work cut out for himself. Not even turned a wheel in an F1 race. Should be fun times in the old forums in 2023.

I’m not disputing the numbers but the £21M would have involved McLaren paying him to sit at home for a year.

His pay out as agreed allows him to drive next season somewhere. So no fake news.

I think it is £21m minus whatever salary he can get next year?

Could see Ricciardo going back to Oz for some V8 Supercars.

My basis for this amazing insight... is Australian.

He won in F1 last year he won’t be going anywhere like that for a long time yet!

Or alternatively, he won in F1 last year so his marketing value is unlikely to ever be higher than it is right now, so if he wants to do something different now is the time to cash in.

Wouldn’t be sorry to see him leave F1, bluntly. The st eating grin thing has always grated.

Which is a shame because he’s always spoken highly of me hehe

I think on balance the most overrated driver on the grid.

As some people picked me up for saying similar last time I'll clarify, not the worst driver on the grid but arguably the most overrated.

As I've always said, no one in F1 has a higher opinion of Daniel Ricciardo than Daniel Ricciardo. That "I'm going to end you" jibe to Lando on camera looks sillier and sillier.
