I'm sure there's about 50 applicants for every job should anyone decide they can't hack it...

But yea, it's pretty brutal. I work overseas a lot for short periods at a time and even that's disruptive to home life and relationship! Although it's sometimes nice to escape whistle
Applicants yes but you need continuity, especially in key personnel and trained teams like pit crew. Doesn't help against the cost cap...
For sure, but on that point it's the same for all teams. I was thinking of it from the staff POV not the teams.

I can believe that - although I'm sure cost caps must have cut down staff in certain roles and forced some staff to adopt extra responsibilities.
Nope, there are loads of them specialising in small areas of the car trying to maximise everything. There will be 30 blokes doing what i do on my own.
I meant beyond the garage crew wink

I appreciate there is no way of slimming down on the roles of those that directly affect the performance of the car.

Why/how do the Yanks get 2 GPs? The UK deserves 2, considering how many F1 teams are based here.

Liberty Media are American and that's the target audience they want to grow. It'll probably be races, Miami, Vegas and Austin.

Money, that's how. America has 300 million people, that's a lot of advertising.

As for the UK, "deserve" doesn't come into it and the fact that the teams are based here is, frankly, irrelevant.

Good - I think he deserves it. He is quick, just inconsistent. It's easier to add consistency than add speed.

Size and money.

If you're in Scotland and want to get to Silverstone, it's a 6 hour drive or an hour on a plane. But if you're in Seattle and want to go to Austin it's 30 hours driving or 5 hours on a plane. (According to Google)

America is a massive place, more people to support multiple races.

I wouldn't want more GPs here, it would mean more circuits being ruined.
