Apparently Hulkenberg is not being seriously considered, he’s been petitioning teams to keep Latifi in as the only driver capable of beating his record
Hulkenberg would be fantastic for Haas - his development skills and technical feedback are highly regarded by all engineers who have worked with him. He's exactly what Haas need right now.
Nah.

Zhou getting another year at Alfa, which is good as I think he’s earned it. He’s had a pretty bad year with DNF’s etc as well. Also unfortunate that Alfa have slipped back quite badly in the pecking order of late.

That's Alfa locked off then with Bottas being multi year. One less option for Schumacher or DR.

Agreed, it's been unfortunate for him that as Alfa have slipped down the order he's quietly found his feet and is on a par with Bottas which has made his improvements less visible

It's going to be weird next year without these two, 53 wins and 4 WDCs between them...

Lando called, he wants his joke back wink
He can have it, Williams have decided not to use it again
That was a better joke than the original and got no credit.

So who’s left with empty/unconfirmed seats?

Only Williams, Alpine and AT?

Yuki was confirmed at AT. So technically no seats there but obviously rumours of a Pierre move to Alpine. So could be a spot. Williams you would hope to sign Nyck but he took part in the Alpine test so maybe they have already signed somebody. HAAS hasn't confirmed Mick for next year, so that's another spot.

I wonder if the reason is really that he doesn't like the direction that Liberty is taking F1?

It's simply him following the plan that was put in place a couple of years ago.

As the article says it was in the pipeline for 18 months so not really new news as it was reported last year.

He's retired before but was coaxed back. I saw him during his year off and he was very happy enjoying his classic cars. Since he sold the Brawn team he can very much do what he wants without any pressure.

He is 67, has lots of money, now has grandchildren and will be retained as an advisor. What's not to love?

CANAL+ reporting that Alpha Tauri have signed de Vries which also strongly suggests Gasly is Alpine-bound.

This will be the true showing if Gasly has it or not now he will be outside the red bull umbrella.
